As the sun dipped below the horizon, the warm glow of the streetlights illuminated the streets of London, casting a magical ambiance over the city. Jimin and Yoongi walked side by side, their earlier moments of connection still fresh in their minds. They exchanged occasional glances, each time feeling the spark between them grow stronger.
After freshening up at the hotel, they decided to venture out for dinner in one of the city's vibrant neighborhoods. The streets were alive with energy, filled with the sounds of laughter and music spilling from nearby restaurants and pubs. Taehyung and Jungkook led the way, animatedly discussing where to eat.
As they walked, Jimin couldn’t help but steal glances at Yoongi, who was casually walking beside him, his hands tucked into his pockets. There was something different in the way Yoongi smiled at him, something that made Jimin’s heart race. He remembered their earlier conversation at the museum, the closeness they shared, and how easily they connected.
“Hey, you okay?” Yoongi suddenly asked, turning to look at Jimin. “You seem a bit distracted.”
Jimin felt his cheeks heat up. “Oh, um, yeah. Just thinking about how great this trip is,” he replied, trying to sound casual, but he could feel the flutter in his stomach.
“Yeah, it’s been fun,” Yoongi said, his gaze steady. “I didn’t expect to enjoy it this much, especially with all the things we’ve done together.”
Jimin nodded, his heart pounding. “Me too. I mean, I thought it would just be a typical vacation, but… it feels different. Like we’re really making memories.”
As they continued walking, the laughter and chatter of Taehyung and Jungkook faded into the background, and Jimin felt an overwhelming urge to express what he was feeling. He glanced at Yoongi, whose expression was soft and inviting.
“Yoongi…” Jimin started, hesitating for a moment. “Do you ever think about… us? I mean, like, what’s been happening between us?”
Yoongi’s eyes widened slightly, and for a moment, time seemed to stand still. “I have,” he admitted, his voice low. “It’s hard not to with everything that’s been going on. There’s something about this trip… about you… that feels different.”
Jimin’s heart raced. “Yeah, I feel it too. I didn’t want to say anything because… I don’t know. I didn’t want to ruin what we have.”
A small smile broke across Yoongi’s face, and he reached out to lightly touch Jimin’s arm. “You could never ruin it. I like spending time with you, and I think I might… like you more than just a friend.”
Jimin’s breath hitched at Yoongi’s confession. “Really? You mean that?” he asked, a smile spreading across his face.
“Yeah,” Yoongi replied, his voice sincere. “I’ve been trying to ignore it, but it’s hard when you’re around.”
They stopped walking, standing close enough that Jimin could feel the warmth radiating from Yoongi. Jimin’s heart swelled with excitement, and he felt a rush of courage.
“Maybe we should see where this goes,” Jimin suggested, his voice barely above a whisper. “I don’t want to ignore it anymore either.”
Yoongi’s smile widened, and he nodded. “Let’s do that.”
As they resumed walking, Jimin felt lighter, a sense of hope blossoming between them. The excitement of their newfound feelings propelled them through the streets of London, exploring quaint shops and enjoying street performances along the way. They stopped at a cozy café for dessert, sharing a slice of cake, laughter, and playful banter.
