Two months had passed, and Jimin’s pregnancy was nearing its final stages. His belly had grown noticeably larger, and with it, the excitement and anticipation for their little one’s arrival filled the house. Yoongi had been nothing short of attentive, making sure Jimin was comfortable and cared for in every way possible.
One evening, as they sat together in the living room, Yoongi gently rubbed Jimin’s swollen belly, a small smile playing on his lips as he felt their baby kick.
“Feels like someone’s excited to meet us,” Yoongi chuckled, his eyes filled with warmth.
Jimin smiled, though a bit of nervousness flashed in his eyes. “Yeah, it feels like it’s going to be soon.” He shifted slightly, finding a more comfortable position. “I can’t wait to hold them.”
Yoongi nodded, but there was something on his mind. They had planned to get married before the baby arrived, but with the due date approaching fast, they hadn’t had the chance to make it happen. Sensing that Jimin was thinking the same, Yoongi gently brought it up.
“I’ve been thinking… maybe we should wait to get married until after the baby is born,” Yoongi said softly. “I want our wedding day to be perfect, without rushing or stress. You deserve that.”
Jimin looked at Yoongi and nodded slowly. “I was thinking the same thing. I want to enjoy that moment with you, but right now, our baby is the most important thing.”
Yoongi leaned in and kissed Jimin’s forehead tenderly. “Then it’s settled. After the baby comes, we’ll have the wedding of our dreams.”
Jimin’s face softened with relief. “Thank you, Yoongi. I’m so glad we’re on the same page. I just want to focus on this new chapter of our lives, becoming parents.”
They spent the rest of the evening talking about the baby and their plans for the future, feeling even more connected as they prepared for the upcoming changes. Yoongi had already started setting up the nursery, choosing soft, calming colors for the room, and even picking out a few tiny outfits.
In the days that followed, they continued to prepare, but they also took time for each other. Despite Jimin’s growing discomfort, he and Yoongi found small moments to share — quiet conversations, gentle kisses, and laughter that echoed through the halls of their home.
As the due date approached, Yoongi’s protective instincts only grew stronger. He refused to let Jimin overexert himself, constantly making sure he had everything he needed. Jimin, in turn, couldn’t help but feel incredibly lucky. Despite all they had been through, they were on the verge of something beautiful — a new life, a family of their own.
One night, as they lay in bed, Yoongi wrapped his arms around Jimin from behind, his hand resting on his belly. “We’re so close now,” he whispered. “I can’t wait to meet them, Jimin. And I can’t wait to marry you.”
Jimin smiled, his heart swelling with love. “Me too, Yoongi. I’m ready for everything — our baby, our wedding, our future together. I’m so ready.”
They fell asleep that night with their hearts full of anticipation, knowing that soon, their lives would change forever — and it would all be more beautiful than they could have ever imagined.
As the days rolled by and Jimin's due date inched closer, the anticipation in Yoongi's mansion grew even more intense. Every small twinge Jimin felt, every kick, sent a wave of excitement—and a little nervousness—through them both.
It was one of those calm mornings when Jimin woke up before Yoongi. The early light spilled into their bedroom, casting a soft glow across the room. Jimin watched Yoongi sleep, his face relaxed, looking peaceful for the first time in what felt like forever. Jimin smiled, feeling a wave of affection for the man who had stood by him through everything.
Slowly, he sat up, carefully swinging his legs over the side of the bed. His belly felt heavier than ever, a constant reminder of how close they were to welcoming their baby. Jimin tiptoed out of bed, determined to let Yoongi sleep in a bit longer. He made his way to the kitchen, craving something sweet, but before he could grab anything, Yoongi was already up, appearing behind him with a sleepy grin.
"Did you think you could sneak away from me?" Yoongi teased, wrapping his arms around Jimin from behind and resting his hands on Jimin's belly.
Jimin laughed softly. "I was trying to let you sleep."
Yoongi pressed a gentle kiss on Jimin's neck. "I don't want to sleep when I can be with you."
Jimin turned in Yoongi's arms and leaned into him, enjoying the closeness. "I was thinking... maybe we could go out today? Just for a little while. I’ve been cooped up in the house for days."
Yoongi raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure you're up for it? I don’t want you pushing yourself."
Jimin nodded. "I want to feel normal, just for a few hours. Maybe we can go for ice cream and baby shopping, just like we used to plan."
Yoongi's face softened, and he smiled. "Alright, but only if you promise to tell me if you get tired."
They spent the morning preparing for their little outing, with Yoongi fussing over every detail—making sure Jimin had comfortable shoes, packing snacks, and ensuring the car ride would be smooth. Jimin laughed at Yoongi’s overly cautious nature, but deep down, he loved it. It was one of the ways Yoongi showed his love.
Once they were out, they went to a small ice cream shop they used to visit together before things had gotten complicated. As soon as they sat down with their cones, Jimin couldn’t stop grinning.
"This is exactly what I needed," Jimin said, taking a bite of his ice cream.
Yoongi watched him, eyes filled with love. "You’re glowing, you know that?"
Jimin chuckled, playfully rolling his eyes. "I’m huge, Yoongi. Glowing is not the word."
Yoongi shook his head, leaning across the table to kiss Jimin’s forehead. "You’re perfect, Jimin. Every part of you. And you're going to be an amazing parent."
They spent the rest of the afternoon shopping for baby clothes, toys, and nursery decor, teasing each other over the cutest onesies and softest blankets. Jimin's face lit up at every little item they picked out, and Yoongi couldn’t stop smiling, happy to see Jimin so excited and at peace.
Back at home later that evening, they relaxed on the couch together, Jimin leaning against Yoongi as they looked over their purchases. Yoongi absentmindedly rubbed Jimin's belly as they talked about the future—what their baby might look like, what their first words would be, and how they would celebrate their first birthdays.
As the night settled in, Jimin grew quiet, staring at the twinkling lights Yoongi had set up in the nursery. He then turned to Yoongi, his expression soft but a little nervous.
"Yoongi..." he began, "when do you think we’ll get married? I know we decided to wait, but sometimes I wonder if... after everything, you still want that."
Yoongi looked at Jimin with a mixture of surprise and tenderness. "Jimin, how could you even doubt that?" He took Jimin’s hands in his. "I want to marry you more than anything. I just didn’t want to rush you when you're already going through so much."
Jimin blinked back tears, overwhelmed with emotion. "I just... after everything, sometimes I feel like I’m not worthy of it. Of you."
Yoongi gently cupped Jimin’s face, his thumb brushing away a tear. "You're everything to me, Jimin. We’ve been through hell and back, but none of that changes how I feel. I want to marry you, raise our baby together, and spend the rest of my life with you."
Jimin let out a shaky breath, leaning in to kiss Yoongi. It was slow and sweet, a kiss that spoke of everything they had gone through and everything they still had to look forward to.
As they pulled away, Jimin rested his forehead against Yoongi's. "Then, after the baby comes, we’ll have the wedding. Our wedding."
Yoongi smiled. "Deal."
The night ended in quiet contentment, with Yoongi holding Jimin close, both of them dreaming of their bright future together. The baby would arrive soon, and so would the next chapter of their lives—one filled with love, family, and finally, peace.
