They walked back to the hotel in comfortable silence, the air around them now charged with something different—something unsaid but undeniable. Jimin’s mind was still reeling from the kiss, his body tingling with the memory of Yoongi’s touch, but he wasn’t sure what to say or even how to address it. The night felt surreal, as if it existed in its own space, separate from everything else.
When they finally reached their hotel room, Yoongi helped Jimin inside, still holding him by the waist to keep him steady. Jimin felt a wave of dizziness as soon as they stepped into the room, the alcohol in his system making his head spin slightly. He sat down on the edge of the bed, staring at the floor, trying to piece his thoughts together.
Yoongi stood in front of him for a moment, his hands in his pockets, watching Jimin carefully. The room was dimly lit, the only light coming from the small lamp by the bed, casting soft shadows on the walls.
“You okay?” Yoongi asked, his voice quiet but full of concern.
Jimin nodded, though his heart was still pounding in his chest. “Yeah… I think I’m just… a little drunk,” he muttered, rubbing his temples as he tried to clear his head.
Yoongi chuckled softly, but there was no teasing in his tone this time. “You’ll feel better in the morning. Just drink some water before you sleep,” he said, walking over to the small fridge and grabbing a bottle of water. He handed it to Jimin, their fingers brushing for a brief moment, sending a jolt through Jimin’s body.
Jimin took the bottle, his hand shaking slightly as he unscrewed the cap and took a sip. He didn’t know how to bring up what had just happened between them—whether it was something Yoongi wanted to forget, or if it meant more than just a drunken moment.
But before he could say anything, Yoongi sat down beside him on the bed, the mattress dipping under his weight. They sat in silence for a long moment, the tension between them palpable but not uncomfortable. It felt like something had shifted, something important, and neither of them was sure how to navigate it.
Finally, Yoongi broke the silence, his voice low and thoughtful. “About earlier…”
Jimin’s heart skipped a beat, his pulse quickening as he waited for Yoongi to continue.
“I know you were drunk, but…” Yoongi trailed off, glancing at Jimin with a serious expression. “That kiss… It wasn’t just a mistake, right?”
Jimin swallowed hard, feeling a lump form in his throat. He shook his head slowly, his voice barely a whisper when he spoke. “No… it wasn’t a mistake.”
Yoongi let out a small breath, his shoulders relaxing slightly. “Good,” he said softly, his eyes searching Jimin’s face. “Because I don’t think I want to forget about it.”
Jimin looked up at him, his heart pounding in his chest. “Me neither,” he admitted, his voice quiet but firm.
For a moment, they just stared at each other, the weight of their words hanging in the air between them. It felt like something was finally clicking into place, something that had been building for longer than either of them had realized.
Yoongi shifted closer, his knee brushing against Jimin’s as he reached out to gently cup Jimin’s face in his hand. “Are you sure?” Yoongi asked softly, his thumb brushing lightly against Jimin’s cheek. “I don’t want to rush you into anything.”
Jimin leaned into the touch, his heart swelling with emotion. “I’m sure,” he whispered, his eyes meeting Yoongi’s with a certainty he hadn’t felt before.
Without another word, Yoongi leaned in and pressed his lips to Jimin’s, the kiss slow and deliberate, filled with all the unspoken feelings they hadn’t been able to express before. Jimin melted into the kiss, his hands coming up to rest on Yoongi’s shoulders as he deepened the kiss, pulling him closer.
