The atmosphere in the mansion had shifted completely. Where once there had been warmth, love, and laughter, now there was only coldness and tension. Jimin sat alone in his room most of the time, staring blankly at the wall, his mind numb. He had lost everything: Yoongi’s love, Taehyung and Jungkook’s trust, and even his own sense of self. The weight of his decision crushed him more with each passing day.
Jungkook, Jimin’s younger brother, was furious. He couldn’t understand why his brother, the person he had always admired, would suddenly become so heartless. Whenever he saw Jimin, anger flared up inside him.
One evening, as Jimin sat at the dining table in silence, picking at his food, Jungkook stormed into the room. His eyes, once filled with love and respect for Jimin, were now hard and filled with betrayal.
"You’re a coward, Hyung," Jungkook spat, his voice dripping with resentment. "You betrayed all of us. How could you do that to Yoongi? To me? I thought you were better than this!"
Jimin’s chest tightened, his throat dry, but he didn’t respond. He didn’t have the strength. His lips trembled, but he kept his head down, unable to meet his brother’s eyes.
"Look at me!" Jungkook shouted, slamming his fist on the table. "How could you just throw everything away? Yoongi loved you, we trusted you, and you just threw it all away for… for some guy you barely know?!" His voice cracked with hurt.
Taehyung, who had been listening from the doorway, stepped forward, his expression just as cold. "Jungkook’s right, Jimin. You’re not the same person we used to know. I don’t even recognize you anymore." His words were calm but cutting, like a dagger to Jimin’s already fragile heart.
Jimin closed his eyes, swallowing hard. He couldn’t defend himself. How could he explain the truth? The threats from his parents, the fear of losing Yoongi forever. He couldn’t bear to involve them in that mess, so he stayed quiet, absorbing their harsh words like punches.
"You know what hurts the most?" Jungkook continued, his voice quieter now, filled with pain. "I used to look up to you, Hyung. You were my role model. But now… now I can’t even stand to be in the same room as you." He turned his back to Jimin, unable to hide the tears forming in his eyes.
Jimin’s heart shattered at Jungkook’s words. His own brother—his best friend—now saw him as nothing but a traitor. He wanted to reach out, to explain everything, but the words wouldn’t come. He felt utterly helpless, drowning in the mess he had created.
Taehyung, seeing Jungkook’s pain, placed a hand on his shoulder, guiding him out of the room. But before leaving, Taehyung cast one last glance at Jimin. "You really disappointed us all, Jimin. I don’t know how you can live with yourself after this." With that, he and Jungkook walked away, leaving Jimin alone once again.
The silence that followed was deafening. Jimin sat there, tears falling silently onto the cold dinner plate he hadn’t touched. The weight of his loneliness pressed down on him like a suffocating blanket. Everyone had turned against him. Yoongi wouldn’t even look at him, Jungkook couldn’t forgive him, and Taehyung… Taehyung just seemed to pity him.
Later that night, Jimin lay curled up in his bed, staring at the ceiling. The room felt empty without Yoongi. Every inch of the mansion reminded him of their love—the stolen glances, the quiet nights, the shared laughter. But now, that love was gone, replaced by nothing but pain.
Yoongi, meanwhile, had withdrawn completely. He wouldn’t speak to Jimin, wouldn’t even acknowledge his presence. He had moved into another room, refusing to stay in the space they once shared. His heart was too broken to even look at Jimin without feeling anger and betrayal. Yoongi’s mind constantly replayed Jimin’s cruel words: Jack is more handsome… I never loved you. Each time the words echoed, Yoongi’s hatred grew stronger.
Jimin, feeling the full brunt of his isolation, tried to stay out of everyone’s way. He stopped coming to meals, stopped sitting with the others. He wandered around the mansion like a ghost, hollow and broken. No one spoke to him; no one reached out. He was completely and utterly alone.
One night, unable to bear the silence, Jimin wandered into the living room. He sat on the couch, staring out of the window at the dark night sky. His mind raced with memories of the past, the good times, and how everything had fallen apart so quickly. He didn’t notice Yoongi standing in the hallway, watching him.
Yoongi’s heart clenched painfully at the sight of Jimin. He still loved him, despite everything. But the pain of betrayal was too much to bear. He couldn’t trust Jimin anymore. He couldn’t forgive him for the lies, for breaking his heart, for choosing someone else.
Without a word, Yoongi turned and walked back to his room, leaving Jimin in the dark, alone with his thoughts. And so, the days passed, with Jimin sinking deeper into loneliness, while Yoongi, Jungkook, and Taehyung remained distant, unable to forgive or forget.
Jimin didn’t know how much longer he could take it. He had made his choice to protect Yoongi, but now, all he felt was regret. His heart ached for the love he had lost, and he wondered if he had made the biggest mistake of his life.
