Jimin continued to sob in Yoongi’s arms, his body shaking with the weight of his grief and pain. Yoongi could feel his heart breaking with every tremor that passed through Jimin’s fragile form. He had never felt so helpless, so guilty. The man he loved had been forced into a life of unimaginable suffering, and Yoongi had been too blind, too consumed by his own pain to see it.

Yoongi gently ran his fingers through Jimin’s hair, his lips trembling as he pressed soft kisses to Jimin’s forehead, his cheeks, anywhere he could reach. "I’m sorry, Jimin," he whispered over and over again, his voice cracking under the weight of his emotions. "I’m so sorry I didn’t see it. I’m so sorry I wasn’t there for you."

Jimin’s tears kept flowing, his sobs quieter now but no less heart-wrenching. He clung to Yoongi as if he was the only thing keeping him from drowning in the flood of his own sorrow. His fingers gripped Yoongi’s shirt, desperate for something to hold onto.

"I… I didn’t know what else to do," Jimin finally whispered, his voice hoarse from crying. "I thought… I thought I was protecting you. But it… it hurt so much, Yoongi. Every day, I felt like I was dying a little more. And when I saw you… when I saw how much you hated me… it was like my whole world shattered."

Yoongi tightened his arms around Jimin, pulling him closer, as if he could shield him from the memories, from the hurt. "I didn’t hate you, Jimin," he murmured, his voice thick with emotion. "I was angry, yes, but I never hated you. I was just… lost. I didn’t understand what was happening, and I let my pain blind me. But I could never hate you."

Jimin’s fingers tightened their grip on Yoongi’s shirt, and he buried his face deeper into Yoongi’s chest. "But you looked at me like I was nothing… like I didn’t matter anymore…"

Yoongi’s chest ached at Jimin’s words. He had been so cruel, so blind. "I’m sorry, Jimin," he whispered again, his voice breaking. "I’m so sorry I made you feel that way. You’ve always mattered to me. Always."

They stayed like that for a long time, wrapped in each other’s arms, letting the silence speak the words neither of them could say. Yoongi could feel Jimin’s tears soaking through his shirt, but he didn’t mind. He would hold Jimin as long as he needed to, as long as it took for the pain to fade, even if it never fully disappeared.

After what felt like hours, Jimin’s sobs finally subsided. His breathing became more even, though his grip on Yoongi never loosened. Yoongi pressed another kiss to the top of his head, his heart aching with love for the man in his arms.

"I never wanted to hurt you," Jimin whispered, his voice so soft Yoongi almost didn’t hear him. "I loved you so much, Yoongi. I still love you. But… I didn’t know how to protect you without losing you."

Yoongi’s chest tightened at Jimin’s confession. "I love you too, Jimin," he whispered, his voice filled with emotion. "I never stopped loving you. And I’ll spend the rest of my life making up for all the pain I’ve caused you."

Jimin finally lifted his head from Yoongi’s chest, his tear-streaked face looking up at him with so much vulnerability it nearly broke Yoongi’s heart all over again. "Do you really mean that?" Jimin asked, his voice trembling. "Even after everything I’ve told you? After everything I’ve done?"

Yoongi cupped Jimin’s face in his hands, wiping away the lingering tears with his thumbs. "Yes," he said firmly, his eyes locking with Jimin’s. "I mean it. Nothing you’ve done changes the way I feel about you. You were forced into a situation you never should have been in. You suffered because of people who were supposed to protect you. But none of that is your fault, Jimin. None of it."

Jimin’s eyes filled with tears again, but this time they weren’t just from sadness. There was relief there too, a tiny glimmer of hope. "I don’t know if I can ever forget what happened," he whispered, his voice shaky. "But… I want to try. I want to try and move on from it. With you."

Yoongi’s heart swelled with love and determination. He leaned forward, pressing a soft kiss to Jimin’s lips, his touch gentle, filled with the promise of healing and care. "We’ll move on together," he whispered against Jimin’s lips. "I’ll be by your side every step of the way. I won’t let you go through this alone anymore."

Jimin’s lips trembled against Yoongi’s, and he kissed him back, slowly, tenderly, as if this was the first time he was allowing himself to truly feel the love they had shared. It wasn’t a kiss filled with passion, but with the kind of love that had been forged in pain and hardship, a love that had endured despite everything that had tried to tear them apart.

When they finally pulled away, Jimin rested his forehead against Yoongi’s, his eyes closing as he took a deep, shuddering breath. "Thank you," he whispered, his voice barely audible. "For not giving up on me."

Yoongi smiled softly, his heart full. "I could never give up on you, Jimin. Not now. Not ever."

And as they sat there, wrapped in each other’s arms, Yoongi knew that the road ahead would be long and difficult. But he was ready to walk it with Jimin, to face whatever challenges came their way, as long as they were together. Because after everything they had been through, Yoongi knew one thing for certain—he would never let Jimin suffer alone again.
