Yoongi stumbled into the mansion, reeking of alcohol, his eyes bloodshot and filled with anger. His mind was clouded, replaying the painful words Jimin had said to him earlier. Jack is more handsome than you… I never loved you… The betrayal cut deeper than anything he had ever experienced. As he reached the door to the room they once shared, his fist banged on the wood, his heart pounding in sync with the rapid knocks.
Jimin opened the door, his face pale and his eyes still red from crying, but his expression was cold, detached. He didn’t even flinch when he saw the state Yoongi was in. He was trying so hard to remain distant, to maintain his cold exterior, but Yoongi’s presence was breaking him inside.
Without a word, Yoongi pushed his way inside, slamming the door shut behind him. His breath was heavy, erratic, and his movements were unstable. He stormed up to Jimin, their faces inches apart, his lips curled in frustration and pain. Jimin remained silent, his back against the wall, still trying to hold onto his resolve. But the way Yoongi looked at him—wild, hurt, broken—made his heart race with fear and something else he couldn’t quite name.
"Why, Jimin? Why did you do this to me?" Yoongi's voice was hoarse, almost a growl. His words slurred slightly, the alcohol amplifying the pain that had been building up inside him. "Is this all I am to you? Someone you can just throw away for a better-looking man?"
Jimin remained quiet, his hands clenched at his sides, refusing to meet Yoongi’s intense gaze. He needed to stay strong, no matter how much it hurt him. But Yoongi wasn’t going to let it go. Not tonight.
"You think you can just… break me like that?" Yoongi spat, his anger rising. He grabbed Jimin’s arm roughly, pulling him away from the wall and toward the bed. Jimin gasped but didn’t resist as Yoongi pushed him back onto the mattress. The cold look on Jimin’s face was unbearable for Yoongi, his emotions spinning out of control.
"Say something!" Yoongi yelled, leaning over Jimin, his hands on either side of him, trapping him. "Tell me you didn’t mean it, Jimin. Tell me you still love me!"
Jimin’s heart was racing, but he forced himself to stay quiet, his expression still cold. He had to push Yoongi away, for both their sakes. But Yoongi wasn’t having it. His pain was too deep, his anger too raw.
"I gave you everything," Yoongi continued, his voice breaking. "I loved you. I trusted you. And you threw it all away for what? A face?! Or money !? That I don't earn !! " He leaned down, his face inches from Jimin’s, his breath hot and smelling of alcohol. Jimin turned his head away, trying to avoid Yoongi’s burning gaze, but Yoongi grabbed his chin, forcing him to look at him.
"Look at me, Jimin!" Yoongi demanded, his voice softer now, almost pleading. "Please… look at me."
Jimin’s resolve was beginning to crack. He could feel Yoongi’s pain radiating off him, and it tore him apart. But he couldn’t let his emotions take over. Not now. Not when his family’s threats loomed over them.
"I don’t love you, Yoongi," Jimin finally whispered, his voice cold, emotionless. "I told you, Jack is more handsome. He’s better than you in every way. He earns , he can look me and my c...child after "
Yoongi’s hand fell from Jimin’s face, his eyes widening in shock. He took a step back, his whole body trembling. "No… You’re lying," Yoongi said, shaking his head. "You don’t mean that."
Jimin’s chest felt tight, his own words burning his throat, but he forced himself to continue. "I do mean it. You were just convenient, Yoongi. That’s all. But now I’ve found someone better."
The words were like daggers, cutting deep into Yoongi’s heart. He staggered back, his legs weak, his mind spinning. Everything was crashing down around him, and all he could feel was the overwhelming sense of betrayal. He had never felt so broken, so lost.
"Is that really all I am to you?" Yoongi whispered, his voice barely audible. "Someone convenient?"
Jimin swallowed hard, forcing himself not to cry. He had to be strong. He had to protect Yoongi, even if it meant breaking his heart in the cruelest way possible. "Yes," he said, his voice flat. "That’s all you were."
Yoongi’s heart shattered into a million pieces. He could feel the tears streaming down his face, but he didn’t care anymore. Everything he had believed in, everything he had fought for, was gone. He had lost Jimin. And he had never felt more alone.
Without another word, Yoongi turned and stumbled toward the door. His whole body was trembling, his vision blurry from the tears. He could barely stand, but he didn’t care. He needed to get out, to get away from the man who had just destroyed him.
Jimin watched him go, his own heart breaking with every step Yoongi took. As the door closed behind Yoongi, Jimin finally let the tears fall, his body shaking with silent sobs. He had just pushed away the love of his life, and it hurt more than anything he had ever experienced.
But he had no choice.
---
Yoongi made his way back to the bar, his mind a whirlwind of emotions. He hated himself for begging, for being weak in front of Jimin. And now, all he could think about was how Jimin had betrayed him. Jack is more handsome... I never loved you... The words echoed in his mind, haunting him with every breath he took.
As Yoongi sat at the bar, ordering another drink, he couldn’t stop thinking about the way Jimin had looked at him—so cold, so indifferent. It didn’t make sense. How could the man he loved with every fiber of his being turn on him like this?
The alcohol burned as it went down, but Yoongi welcomed the pain. Anything was better than the emptiness he felt inside. All he wanted was to forget. Forget Jimin, forget the love they shared, forget everything.
But no matter how much he drank, the pain didn’t go away. It only grew, deeper and darker, until it was all-consuming.
---
Back in the mansion, Jimin sat alone on the bed, staring at the floor. His heart ached in a way that he had never experienced before. He had just destroyed the one person who had meant the world to him, and now there was no going back.
But as much as it hurt, he knew he had done it to protect Yoongi. His parents’ threats were real, and he couldn’t risk Yoongi’s life. Even if it meant living the rest of his life without him.
As the night wore on, the mansion was filled with silence, the weight of broken hearts hanging in the air. And for the first time in his life, Jimin truly understood what it meant to be alone.
