It's in the early morning in the Hawkins' home. The sun is just rising, and Conrad is in the kitchen preparing breakfast while Gigi sits in her high chair.*Conrad: (smiling) "Good morning, bubble! Did you sleep well?"
Gigi: (giggling) "Dada!"
Conrad: (placing a small plate of scrambled eggs in front of her) "Here's your favorite breakfast. Let's eat up, we've got a big day ahead!"
*Gigi grabs a handful of eggs and starts eating messily. Conrad chuckles and grabs a cloth to clean her up.*
*Later in the day, at the park. Conrad is pushing Gigi on the swing while Jake, Bell's stepson, stands nearby.*
Jake: "You're doing great, man. It's not easy, but you're handling it like a pro."
Conrad: (smiling but tired) "Thanks, Jake. Some days are tougher than others, but I wouldn't trade this for anything."
Jake: "Remember, we're all here for you. If you ever need a break or just someone to talk to, don't hesitate to call."
Conrad: "I appreciate that. Really, I do."
*Scene: Evening, Conrad is putting Gigi to bed. He reads her a story from one of Nic's favorite books.*
Conrad: "This was your mommy's favorite story when she was little. She used to read it to me all the time."
The next day
* Conrad at work, talking to Kit about a new patient.*
Kit: "Conrad, I know things have been tough, but you've been doing exceptional work. How are you managing everything?"
Conrad: "It's been a challenge, but I have a great support system. And, honestly, Gigi gives me the strength to keep going."
Kit: "That's good to hear. We're here for you too. If you ever need flexibility, just let us know."
Conrad: "Thank you. It means a lot."
*Conrad, Leela and Devon are discussing Gigi's future over coffee.*
Leela: "Have you thought about daycare or a nanny for Gigi?"
Conrad: "Yeah, I've been looking into some options. It's tough to think about, but I know it's important for her social development."
Devon: "You'll make the right choice. You always do."
Conrad: "I hope so. I just want the best for her."
Later that day
Randolph: (looking around) "Hey, Devon, have you seen Conrad? I haven't seen him in a while."
Devon: (thinking for a moment) "No, I haven't. He was supposed to be around here somewhere."
Randolph: "Let's check the supply closet. Maybe he's grabbing something."
(They walk over to the supply closet and open the door to find Conrad, breathing really heavily)
Devon: "Conrad? What's going on?"
Randolph: (seeing Conrad's condition) "Oh man, Conrad, are you okay?"
Conrad: (breathing heavily) "I... I don't know. I just needed a moment."
Devon: (kneeling beside him) "Take it easy, Conrad. We're here. Just breathe."
Randolph: (putting a hand on his shoulder) "You're not alone, Conrad. We're in this together."
Conrad: (starting to calm down) "Thanks, guys. I just got really overwhelmed."
Devon: "It's okay. We're here for you. Always."
Sure, here's how that scene could unfold:
---
Conrad: (sitting at the dinner table) "Dad, I need to tell you something. I had a panic attack today."
Marshall: (looking concerned) "A panic attack? What happened, son?"
Conrad: "I don't know. I just got really overwhelmed at work. Devon and Randolph found me and helped me calm down."
Marshall: (nodding thoughtfully) "I'm glad they were there for you. You know, it might be a good idea to talk to someone about this. Have you thought about seeing Ms. Taylor? She's a great therapist."
Conrad: (considering) "Ms. Taylor... Yeah, I've heard good things about her. Maybe I should give it a try."
Marshall: "It's worth it, Conrad. There's no shame in getting help. We're all here to support you."
Conrad: (smiling slightly) "Thanks, Dad. I appreciate it."
Marshall: "Anytime, son. We're family, and we stick together."
---
This scene highlights the supportive relationship between Conrad and his dad, Marshall, and introduces the idea of seeking professional help in a caring and understanding way.
