The resident Conrad and Gigi post 5x03

Gigi's sick

Conrad is pacing in the living room, holding a crying Gigi. She's burning up with a fever.

Conrad (panicked): "It's okay, Gigi. Daddy's here. Please calm down."

Gigi continues to cry, clearly uncomfortable. Conrad, feeling helpless, grabs his phone and calls his dad.

Conrad's Dad (answering in a hushed tone): "Conrad, I'm in a meeting. What's going on?"

Conrad (voice shaking): "Dad, Gigi's sick. She's burning up and won't stop crying. I don't know what to do!"

Conrad's Dad: "Alright, first, take a deep breath. Have you taken her temperature?"

Conrad: "No, I... I didn't think of that. I'll do it now."

Conrad fumbles to find the thermometer and takes Gigi's temperature.

Conrad: "It's 102.5°F. What do I do?"

Conrad's Dad: "Okay, that's a fever, but not too high. Give her some children's Tylenol and try to keep her hydrated. If it doesn't come down in an hour, take her to the doctor."

Conrad: "Okay, okay. Thanks, Dad."

Conrad's Dad: "Call me if you need anything else. I'll be out of the meeting soon."

Conrad: "Thanks, Dad. I will."

Conrad hangs up and quickly administers the medicine to Gigi. He sits down with her, gently rocking back and forth, whispering soothing words. Slowly, Gigi starts to calm down.

Conrad (relieved): "You're going to be okay, sweetie. Daddy's got you."

Conrad's worry grows as Gigi's fever refuses to come down. He knows he needs to act quickly, so he decides to take her to the ER at Chastain.

Conrad (determined): "Gigi, we're going to the hospital. Hang in there, sweetheart."

He quickly bundles Gigi into the car and drives to Chastain, his mind racing with concern. Upon arrival, he rushes out of the car with Gigi in his arms.

As soon as they step out, Hundley and Jessica rush out to meet them.

Hundley (concerned): "Conrad, what's going on?"

Conrad (urgent): "Gigi's fever won't come down. We need to get her inside, now."

Jessica immediately springs into action, guiding Conrad and Gigi into the ER.

Jessica (reassuring): "We'll take care of her, Conrad. Let's get her checked in."

Hundley (focused): "I'll alert Gabby and get a room ready."

Conrad follows them inside, feeling a mix of fear and relief as he sees his colleagues mobilizing to help Gigi.

Inside the ER, Jessica quickly gets Gigi settled into a room while Hundley alerts Gabby, who arrives promptly. Gigi is fussing and crying, her discomfort evident and heart-wrenching for Conrad.

Conrad (anxious, trying to soothe Gigi): "It's okay, sweetheart. We're going to make you feel better."

Gabby (calmly professional): "Okay, let's take a look at her. Conrad, can you tell me exactly what's been happening?"

Conrad (voice breaking): "She had a mild fever this morning, but it spiked suddenly. I tried everything, but nothing's working. She's been crying like this for hours."

Gabby nods, examining Gigi with a practiced eye. She takes her temperature and checks her vitals, while Jessica prepares a cooling blanket.

Gabby (reassuring): "We'll run some tests to find out what's causing this. In the meantime, we'll work on bringing her fever down."
