New Beginning for Conrad

Conrad: *pacing back and forth* "Dad, I'm really nervous about meeting Natalie's parents tonight. What if they don't like me?"

Marshall: *sitting calmly* "Relax, son. Just be yourself. They'll appreciate your honesty and sincerity."

Conrad: "But what if they think it's too much that I have a daughter? I don't want them to judge me for it."

Marshall: "Conrad, any parent who truly cares about their child will see how much you love and care for your daughter. That's a strength, not a weakness."

Conrad: "I know, but it's still nerve-wracking. I just want to make a good impression."

Marshall: "And you will. Remember to be respectful, answer their questions honestly, and show them the same kindness you show Natalie. You'll do great."

Conrad: *taking a deep breath* "Thanks, Dad. I needed that. I just hope they see how much I care about Natalie."

Marshall: "They will, son. Just be yourself, and everything will fall into place."

Later that evening...

Natalie: "Conrad, are you ready? We should head out soon."

Conrad: *nervously adjusting his tie* "Yeah, I think so. Just really hoping this goes well."

Natalie: *smiling reassuringly* "It will. My parents are excited to meet you."

Conrad: "I hope so. Just want to make a good impression."

Natalie: "You will. Just be yourself. That's the person I fell in love with, and they'll see why."

Gigi: *running into the room with a big smile* "Daddy, are you going to meet Natalie's mommy and daddy?"

Conrad: *smiling and picking Gigi up* "Yes, sweetheart. We're heading out soon."

Gigi: "Can I come too?"

Conrad: *laughing softly* "Not this time, Gigi. But you'll get to meet them soon, I promise."

Marshall: *watching Gigi hug Conrad tightly* "You see, son? Look at how happy she is. You're doing a great job."

Conrad: *feeling a surge of confidence* "Thanks, Dad. Seeing Gigi so happy with her ga ga Marshall makes me feel less anxious about meeting Natalie's parents."

Natalie: *holding Conrad's hand* "Ready?"

Conrad: *taking another deep breath* "Alright, let's do this."

Natalie: *smiling* "Together."

Natalie's parents, Darren and Abby, are hosting a cozy dinner at their home. The table is beautifully set, and the aroma of delicious food fills the air.

Conrad arrives at the door with flowers in hand.

Darren: "Welcome, Conrad! We're so glad you could join us tonight."

Conrad shakes hands with Darren. "Thanks for having me, Darren and Abby. It's great to be here."

Conrad then gives Abby a kiss on the cheek and hands her the flowers. "These are for you."

Abby: "Oh, thank you, Conrad! These are beautiful."

Natalie: "Mom! But yeah, it's awesome to have you here, Conrad."

Conrad: "I've heard so much about you both too. Nice to finally see you in person."

They all sit down at the dinner table, and the conversation flows easily.

Darren: "So, Conrad, what do you do for work?"

Conrad: "I'm an ER doctor at Chastain, just like Natalie is a nurse there."
