Elena is still sitting with Jeremy, smoothing her hand over his face and holding his hands.

"What's happening?" Theodore asks, staring in horror at his Uncle Jeremy looking like a real corpse.

Well...

"Katherine. It was Katherine" Elena answers "She got word about the cure and followed us to there"

"Bitch fed me to Silas" Jeremy scoffs with an obvious unhappy expression in his face.

"And you died?" Theodore asks.

Jeremy nods.

"Bonbon brought him back" Damon answers his unasked question.

Gotta love Bonnie Bennett.

Downstairs in the kitchen, Caroline is dumping a bucket of water into the sink and talking to Stefan.

"How long has she been like that?" she asks.

"Ever since we found his body. She hasn't said anything except that she's waiting for him to wake up" Stefan answers.

"But he's not going to wake up. She knows that, right?" Caroline frowns.

Stefan holds a finger up to his lips to silence her. He walks over to the sink and runs the tap, using the noise to cover their conversation.

"Look! Deep down, I think she has to, but we're talking about Elena here. She feels grief more powerfully than anyone else. I think her denial is the one thing protecting her from letting it..." Stefan was cut off by the front door opening.

Oh shit!

Both Caroline and Stefan freeze in place.

"Hey..." Rosalind stops at the enter of the kitchen "...Stefan?"

She places her purse at the countertop.

"When did you get back?" she asks "is Jeremy and Elena here too?"

She goes to walks upstairs when Stefan suddenly appears in front of her.

"Stefan?" she tilts her head to the side confused.

"There's something you should know, Rosie" he says.

Rosalind nods.

"And that is..." she trailed off, giving him opening to speak.

The problem is, how is he supposed to tell her Jeremy is dead?

Her baby bro?

"Rosie..." Caroline stands besides her "...Jeremy and Bonnie found Silas' Tomb"

"Really?" Rosalind's eyes widened "that's good, isn't it?"

Stefan rubs his face, not knowing what or how to tell her.

"Elena, Jeremy and Bonnie were there" Stefan continues "but Elena wasn't Elena"

Rosalind frowns then, her face turns into one of realization.

"Katherine..." she whispers.

Caroline and Stefan nods.

"What was she doing there?" Rosalind asks "is Elena okay?"
