SPECIAL EPISODE
"SHE LOOKS GOOD, ALWAYS, WITHOUT A DOUBT"

▫️▫️...June, 2005...▫️▫️

Every normal teenage girls has those special moments when they want to be seen the most. It all starts with first dates, proms, parties and mostly, birthdays.

For the Gilberts, especially Rosalind, birthdays have been incredibly important memories.

But now, we are talking about Rosalind's sweet sixteen.

Gotta be something big and special. Of course.

Rosalind wasn't personally planning or expecting anything, to be honest. All she wanted was to finally get her driver's license and continue saving for her first car.

A red mustang.

For the last year, the girl has been working as a babysitter in eventual situations, in hopes to have enough money to buy her dream car. It all started one day when her parents had to spend one night out of the town and Jenna was busy with college stuff and couldn't make it to Mystic Falls.

Since then, Rosalind would always take care of her siblings, their friends and many other kids of the town, including babies.

What can I say? She has always loved babies.

Ready for the day, Rosalind walks downstairs, frowning when she didn't see anyone but her father there, still wearing his robe, completely careless.

"Good morning!" she smiled widely.

"Hey, kiddo!" Grayson smiles tiredly at her, then yawns dramatically.

Rosalind tilts her head to the side.

"'hey kiddo?'" she quotes him, then yawns dramatically just as he did "That's all I get on this most special of days?"

"Is it yom kippur already?" Grayson feigns confusion.

Of course he wouldn't miss his little girl's day...

Rosalind gives him a look.

"Ohh, it's your birthday!" he points at her, still acting like it's nothing.

"Yeah..." Rosalind laughs.

"Happy Birthday, kiddo" Grayson smiles "You want some cereal? We got bitty wheats...or fiber nuts"

The girl smiles, despite her clear disappointment.

"Either's fine" she says.

"Okay, will you get the milk?" Grayson asks.

"Yeah, sure" she goes towards the fridge.

Grayson stops her with his palm, pushing her back slightly.

"It's not in the fridge" he says.

Rosalind rolls her eyes in annoyance.

"Ugh! Jeremy promised to stop drinking milk in the shower" she says, leaving the room, towards upstairs.

"Stop trying to change your little bro!" Grayson shouts after her, receiving a loud, mocking laughter in return.

As soon as he noticed that Rosalind was out of sight, he quickly takes his robe off, opening the back door of the house, letting Miranda, Jeremy, Elena and friends, along with Rosalind's group of friends too, Jenna and Liz.
