December 10th, 2010
Today is Amber's birthday! I woke up around 9:00 AM this morning, and I tried calling her but she hasn't been responding. She's probably just working; and after all, she did tell me the cafe demands more work during the holidays, just like any other business. I got her perfume for her birthday gift; I'll give it to her when we see each other in a few weeks.
She did call me a few days ago and we mapped out our entire NYC trip; we arrive in NYC in the afternoon of December 31st, and we then walk around Times Square, go to the Empire State Building, and then watch the ball drop. I made sure to plan out my disguise as well. Well, it'll be cold so it'll be easier to disguise, anyway. I would not wanna get mobbed by millions of people in Times Square on New Years' Eve. Since after our NYC trip I'll be going on tour, I've been making sure to do lots of packing as well. Some of my suitcases are already done.
She also told me that her mom divorced her awful stepdad. I'm very happy for her about that, since due to that divorce her, Dahlia, and her mom are all united again. I can see that a missing piece of happiness in Amber has been fulfilled once more, and that with her stepdad being out of her life, her family is now at peace.
I've of course been writing music for my new album, in addition to truly pondering upon my tour. What will it actually be like to go on that stage and have my fans cheer me on? What will it feel like to sing live and live out my passion in front of thousands, or by the end of the tour, even millions of people? Only time will tell. I've been writing this song called Moonshine, and it's based on Amber and I's one hangout in Philly when we were standing at the balcony on the Rocky steps whilst looking at the stars, pondering on the idea if we were truly written in the stars.
Don't look down, don't you ever look back
We are not afraid to die young and live fast
Give me good times, give me love, give me laughs
Let's take a ride to the sky before the night is gone
Moonshine (ooh)
Take us to the stars tonight (ooh)
Take us to that special place (ooh)
That place we went the last time, the last time
Oh, moonshine (ooh)
Your love makes it come alive (ooh)
Take us to that special place (ooh)
That place we went the last time, the last time
I've been pondering and reflecting upon Amber and I's story; that night we met, how we little by little formed a beautiful relationship, and how everything that happened in our lives paved the way for our paths to cross. She's someone just simply too beautiful inside and out to let go of. This is why I want her so badly to be mine.
We will soon get there.
...
It's the afternoon, and I'm sitting on my couch playing the guitar while my thoughts are interrupted by my phone ringing for Facetime on my desk. My body pulls me over to the force drawing me to check who it is, and sure enough, it's her. I pickup the phone and greet her.
"Heyyyy, birthday girl!" I proclaim, seeing her shining face with some shiny silver gift bags in the background in her living room.
"Hey, Bruno! Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry I didn't answer earlier! I was working all day. You'll never believe what happened today," she's all smiles.
"What happened?"
"My mom, Dahlia, Chloe, Amari and Constance all threw me a surprise party at the cafe this morning! I arrived there at 7:00 AM wondering why it was so dark, only to realize that they threw me a surprise party," she grins.
"Wow! That's so nice of them! What did it look like?"
"There was a giant banner that said "Happy Birthday" and confetti balloons all over the place. They even had a cake ready for me," she declares.
"I'm so glad. You deserve it, you really do. You're a wonderful person."
"Thank you so much," she smiles. "I really miss you Bruno."
"Miss you too, Amber. But we'll soon see each other again," I declare. I see a deep longing in her eyes for us to be in each others' physical presences once more. My eyes reflect the identical gaze.
"I see you've been packing," she smirks as she sees the suitcases in the background.
"Ah, yes, Lots of that. I've been packing a shit ton of stuff since I'll be going on tour after the NYC trip," I proclaim.
"Ahh, right. That's why. We're meeting at the hotel in the afternoon of December 31st, right?"
"Yep, and then shopping around Times Square, and then going to the Empire State Building and watching the ball drop at night" I reply.
"Alright, sounds good," she adds excitedly.
"How crazy is it that we reserved our rooms at the same hotel?" She asks, reminding me of what I was thinking about earlier; how we're destined for each other.
"Yeah, I know right! It works out perfectly" I add enthusiastically.
"For real," she smiles, resting her hand underneath her chin.
"Listen Amber, I just want to tell you this because I don't say it enough, and well, because it's also your birthday. I'm very, very thankful that you're a part of my life, and I can't wait to make more memories with you. You're an incredible person and you deserve all these beautiful things that are happening to you," I declare.
"You're one of those beautiful things that happened to me, Bruno," she adds shyly.
"Aw, Amber. I really appreciate that, I do." Some time passes.
"Listen, about that kiss..." she starts to mention as my mind flashes back to the Urban Indulgence Party.
"Yeah?" I ask.
"I enjoyed it, Bruno, I really did," she mentions wholeheartedly.
"I enjoyed it too," I smile.
"What does it mean for us?" She asks curiously.
"Believe me, it meant something. Something incredible. And I'm gonna prove that to you when we see each other again, baby," Her eyes light up as I call her baby, with me smirking, knowing in my mind what I'm planning to do.
"I'm really into you, Bruno," she smiles warmly, gazing at me deeply.
"Believe me, I'm really into you too."
