January 9th, 2011

Tomorrow I'm gonna be leaving Philly to go to New York for my concert in Madison Square Garden; hence why my suitcases are already sitting in the living room. But today, I'm gonna be enjoying Amber for one last time before I leave her once more, which is why we're currently sitting at my kitchen table having lunch, discussing what we should do before I go; and besides, it would be our first date as a couple.

"So...any ideas for today?" I ask.

"Hmm... there's obviously lots of stuff to do in Philly, but we've already done most of them to be honest," she chuckles as we both sip on our hazelnut coffee that I just made for the both of us.

"Yeah, for real. But I mean, I obviously love spending time with you no matter where we are," I proclaim.

"Yes... believe me, I love all of our memories too," she blushes.

"Mhm. That's why I'm happy we're making the most out of every second we spend together before I leave," I quote as I ponder upon all of our first memories we made together; then a lightbulb goes off in my head.

"Definitely," she smiles a bit sadly.

"Hey...what do you think about maybe going on a nature themed date?" I ask her as my eyes light up, thinking about that farm trip we went on in October.

"That sounds awesome! What are you thinking?" She smiles in curiosity as she puts her coffee cup down.

"Do you know any wooded areas around here? Like for hiking or just taking nature walks in general?" I ask as she thinks for a bit. I think it's a good day to go on a nature walk since it's not too cold outside, despite it being the beginning of January, and besides, it's always good to just get out and enjoy the world around us. Winter can definitely be a beautiful time period nature wise.

"I do actually! There's this one called Fieldbrook Valley around 45 minutes away from here. It's a beautiful wooded area with mountains and a lake. Amari and I used to go there when we were teenagers," she quotes.

"How about we go there?" I wink.

"Sounds awesome!! Thanks so much for the idea. I have a feeling you got it from our October fall farm hangout?" She smirks.

"How did you know?" I smile.

"They both kinda have the same theme of nature and admiring its beauty, and just getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city to just go on a nature walk," she begins.

"Except this time, it's gonna be a date," I lean forward and kiss her, her hands cupping my face.

"Yes it will be," she quotes as she smiles into the kiss.

"Well, there we have it. A winter nature walk." she smiles.

"A winter nature walk it is."

...

Amber and I have finished our lunch and coffee and are currently putting on our coats, hats, gloves, and boots, getting ready to embark on our first date. I trust Amber when it comes to tourist spots in and out of Philly; she's the one that grew up in this area, anyway. That farm trip really sparked something in me; kinda just the idea of enjoying the beauty of nature really influenced me to get out more and see what the Earth has to offer.

"Ready to go?" She smiles.

"Yep," I smile in return as we head over to the garage to her car, embarking on another nature journey.

"Thanks for the idea of the winter nature walk, Bruno. It's actually really nice just meditating upon the outdoors," she quotes as we exit the garage and on our way to Fieldbrook Valley.
