February 15th, 2011

Last night was an absolute dream. I can't believe Bruno came to visit me for Valentine's Day, and on top of that spending a beautiful night together. It was all just so thoughtful of him. Although he'd only be staying in Philly until the 17th, we definitely have a good amount of time to spend together. Thank God Valentine's Day was on a Friday; I'm off this weekend and begin copywriting again on Monday. Cities really know how to decorate for the holidays, by the way.

It's currently 2:00 in the afternoon, and Bruno and I are currently cuddling in my living room watching TV, discussing what to do for the rest of our trip. Today we just wanted to take some time to ourselves by staying in the apartment and relaxing for a bit.

"You know, I was thinking," I begin.

"Yeah?" He replies.

"You know how during our New Years' Trip we always talked about how much we love nostalgia?" I reply.

"Yep," he responds as he thinks back to our trip, his eyes shining.

"How about we go to an arcade? We always did that in the '90s," I grin, reflecting back on the decade that I was so blessed to have grown up in.

"Oh yeah, that sounds awesome! Man, does that bring back memories," he responds with a smile.

"For real. It'd be a perfect way to bring back some memories in addition to forming new ones of our own," I grin.

"Definitely. I feel as if arcades aren't that popular anymore. It's a shame, it really is."

"Exactly! I mean nowadays people are just becoming way too tech obsessed," I roll my eyes.

"Ha. We're basically the last generation to know what it's like to grow up without technology," he adds.

"Mhm. Kids in the future will never know. I know we've talked about this so many times but it's true" I laugh.

"I'm really glad we just made it," he responds.

"Yep! I mean, it's a shame how much technology took over the world," I proclaim.

"Yeah, I know...I mean there are benefits to it, but the disadvantages are just awful," he responds.

"Exactly. Remember how in the '90s we would pass notes in class?" I laugh.

"Oh gosh...yep, and then the teacher confiscates it and then we'd have to read it out loud, oh please," he laughs.

"We had great movies in the '90s too," I add.

"Oh, absolutely. Hey, remember roller rinks?" He chuckles.

"You just unlocked a shit ton of memories, Bruno," I laugh.

"And how we'd all talk on the phone for hours and how we'd actually have to go outside and do hobbies 24/7 for entertainment?" He adds.

"Oh yes. And let's not forget about payphones."

"WHEW. I'd always have to remember to carry around change for that, fuck," he chuckles.

"Yeah. They don't even exist anymore, fuck," I respond.

"For real...hey, what's this arcade called?" He asks.

"The Battleground."

"Awesome," he grins as he pulls my body closer to him, until my phone rings, ironically interrupting our conversation.

"Well isn't that ironic?" He laughs.

"Yeah, for real," I laugh as I grab my phone sitting on the coffee table, seeing that it's my mom. I pick up.
