It's Thanksgiving morning, and I'm going over to my parents' house later for dinner. Unfortunately, not all of my siblings will be able to make it due to work/travel issues. I'll be seeing Eric and Presley, though, in addition to Uncle Juan, who will be flying in. Eric and I have always been close growing up, so I'll be looking forward to catching up with him and my parents on what's been going on with my life. I'm sure they wanna know all about my Philadelphia trip and my breakup. I've talked to them these past couple weeks, but I never gave them the full stories of each.
Since I got up early this morning, I decided to pass some time by writing more music for my next album, in addition to talking to Anthony about some questions I had about my concerts, such as how early I'd have to be at the venue by, outfits, how many songs, etc. Speaking of which, Amber's birthday is coming up, and I've finished the song I've written for her; I've called it Treasure. Of course, I'm keeping it a surprise until further notice. I just can't wait until she's officially mine.
I walk over to my phone that's charging on my coffee table and decide to FaceTime Amber. The phone rings and rings until I eventually see her beautiful face.
"Heyyy, Bruno! What's up? Happy Thanksgiving!" She quotes as her smile lights up the screen, her hair straightened. Damn, she looks gorgeous.
"Hey, my girl. Just going to my parents' house for Thanksgiving later, and I've been working on some new songs, as usual," I proclaim, her cheeks blushing into a light red as I called her "my girl."
"That's awesome. Dahlia and I are having dinner together later. Amari visited the cafe around two weeks ago and I found out she bought a ticket to your Philly concert!"
"Wow! Tell her I really appreciate that. I guess she can come backstage too," I smile.
"She'll love that, thank you. And yep, I told her about the backstage pass," we both laugh.
"Good things don't stay secret, I guess," I laugh.
"Nah, but for real, we're both very excited. It's literally gonna be your first ever concert! You have no idea how honored Amari and I are to be there," she declares.
"No, Amber. You have no idea how honored I am to have you guys be there. It means so much to me that my music is making people happy. I will forever be grateful for all my fans. I just can't wait to see all of them," I ponder excitedly.
"Yeah, I'm sure, it must be so exciting, being on stage and having thousands of people look at you in admiration," she smiles.
"But we all know who my favorite one out of all them is," I comment.
"Aw, Bruno...so how's LA been?" she grins happily.
"It's been good, there's just one thing that happened that kinda set me off," I say as I think about Annika. As much as I don't wanna bring her up, sometimes in order to move forward, you have to go back.
"I'm so sorry... what happened?" She asks.
"Listen, I know that Annika is out of my life now and that her and I are broken up, but of course, even though she broke up with me over the phone, when I got back to LA, I wanted to go to her house to have some closure..." I start.
Amber nods in understanding.
"Well yeah, that's totally understandable. I mean, of course you'd want to have closure with someone who you were dating for awhile and all of a sudden they just dump you," she claims.
"Exactly. So, I go to her house, and I find her in bed with another man."
"Oh my gosh... that's awful! Bruno, I am so sorry. You don't deserve that," she declares.
