Well, today is the day! I will be surprising Bruno in Santa Monica at his concert tonight. I can't wait to see him again. I'm currently on the plane just watching Hercules to pass the time. I'll be arriving in around an hour; it's like a 6 hour plane ride from Philly. The concert will be at the Bass Box venue, around fifteen minutes from my hotel: The Waterfront Inn.
I'm very proud of him for getting his second album done. I know he worked very hard on it and he deserves all of the success he's getting and continues to receive. I'm sure his second album will be just as good if not better than the first. It was around two weeks ago that he told me he got it done, during that same conversation where he asked me where I'd like to travel with him again.
Ah, it was fun teasing him.
As Hercules finishes out, my finger swipes its way over to the other genre activities on the screen: music, movies, and news. I tap on music and decide to spend the rest of my flight listening to some tunes, scanning through the artists as I joyfully find Bruno's name engraved in front of me as one of the options. I delightfully click on "Just The Way You Are," the first song that I've ever discovered by him. I can't believe how much has happened since then. I went from hearing him on the radio at my job to becoming his girlfriend, and now I'm on the way to surprise him at his concert in Santa Monica. It really is amazing how life works out sometimes. I subsequently spent the rest of my flight listening to his music, the key symbol that fate had utilized to bring me to this very moment.

I have successfully arrived at LAX, the beautiful California sun seeping its rays throughout the windows of the airport. The weather looks gorgeous; not too hot but not too cold. Kind of a mix of Spring and Fall. I henceforth show the TSA my ticket and passport and head over to baggage claim, my multicolored suitcase eventually coming into view, my carry-on backpack already resting itself on my back. I then find my way out the airport by gazing upon the signs engraved upon the different terminals; and as I walk out, the beautiful LAX sign, along with the California palm trees, bridges, and pale cerulean sky all greet me in their brilliant wonder, the everlasting summery and tropical ambience of the city all paving their way throughout the domain. I've always wanted to go to California, and now destiny has beautifully made my wish come true, at the perfect time.
I had already scheduled an Uber to take me from LAX to the Waterfront Inn, and I eventually spot my driver, Tanya, parked outside of Terminal 1, near where the baggage claim was. I happily roll my suitcase over to the Uber as she greets me, getting out of the car to help me put my luggage in the backseat as my carry-on displays itself next to me in the back.
"Hey...just curious, you look a lot like Bruno Mars' girlfriend. Are you?" She asks, her eyes illuminating her excitement.
"I am, actually," I chuckle as I fasten my seatbelt.
"No way!!! Girl, you're so lucky! You're probably going to his concert tonight in Santa Monica, right?" She smirks.
"I am!" I reply.
"Have lots of fun!" she tells me as she starts up the car and begins heading over to the Waterfront Inn.
"Thanks so much!" I remark.
"Is this your first time here in California?" She asks as the car begins passing through Los Angeles' magnificent bridges and palm trees.
"It is, actually! I've always wanted to visit California. It's such a gorgeous state," I respond, looking out the window mesmerized by its aura.
"Glad you could make it," she smiles.
"Me too," I respond. We chit-chat some more about LA and all its wonders, and she tells me all about its awesome landmarks and things that there are to do here. Even though I won't be staying for that long, it's still good to know the best things that there are to see in this city. She especially recommends to me the Santa Monica Pier, which is my main landmark I am planning on visiting, especially since my hotel is right by that gorgeous seaside allure.
