Chapter 41 (Amber)

It's been around a week and a half since Bruno left Philly to go back on tour. I'm overall just very thankful he made time to visit me despite his world tour. The fact that he wrote those songs for me is so heartwarming, it just made me realize how lucky I truly am to have him as my boyfriend. However, he was telling me how he was nervous that we wouldn't be seeing each other again soon due to his schedule getting busier by the day.

Little does he know that I'm gonna be visiting him at his concert in Santa Monica on March 20th.

"It's nice seeing you girls again," Amari smiles as Chloe and I sit with her in a booth at Cafe Amore. Amari came to visit today! Thankfully it's been a pretty slow day today, so Constance is letting Chloe and I chill out a bit.

"You too, Amari," Chloe and I respond.

"How has everything been?" I ask Amari.

"Eh, the usual. Clubbing, working," she responds as we all laugh.

"How's Bruno?" She asks.

"Ah, well...he may or may not have surprised me for Valentine's Day," I smirk.

"Girl, what???" Amari asks enthusiastically.

"Yeah, she told me all about it," Chloe grins.

"What did you guys do?" Amari smirks.

I tell her all about how I came home from work on Valentine's Day and how Bruno surprised me at my door in a suit (whew!) and how he took me to Bravissimo and henceforth walked us around the city, where it was all decorated in Valentine's day fashion.

"How is he in bed?" Amari teases as Chloe laughs.

"Girl, stop," I laugh. "But I will be surprising him at his concert in Santa Monica on March 20th."

"Oooo! Did you buy your tickets yet?" Chloe and Amari ask.

"I'm buying them tonight," I grin. I know that Bruno can get me free concert tickets, but I really want to surprise him, therefore I'll be paying on my own. I also still have to buy my plane ticket.

"I'm sure it's gonna be fun to surprise him," Chloe smirks.

"Yeah...I've always wanted to see Santa Monica. I've never even been to California so I'm sure it'll be a fun trip," I reply excitedly.

"Ah, I was there years ago and it was awesome, you'll love it," Chloe reassures.

"It'll be beautiful. The weather will be nice as hell too," Amari adds.

"Yeah...I'm just looking forward to surprising him back since he surprised me, you know?" I reply as I sip on my smoothie.

"Very nice of you. I'm also very happy for you that you scored a great boyfriend," Amari smiles.

"I appreciate that," I smile.

"Well, looks like you're living up to your New Year's resolution of traveling more," Chloe grins.

"Yeah, I definitely am! I've really taken my mom's advice of living your 20s to the fullest at heart, not gonna lie," I add.

"It's good advice. I mean, we're all only young once, so why not take advantage of it, you know?" Amari grins.

"I'm glad your family is united again," Chloe responds.

"Me too. I'm actually gonna be having dinner with my mom and Dahlia tonight," I smile. I prepared some arroz con gandules (rice and beans) for them last night and will be warming it up tonight.

"Oooo! Have fun and tell Dahlia we said hi," Amari responds, referring to her and Chloe.

"I will," I smile.
