It's been five days since I performed at my concert in Chicago, and I absolutely loved it. This city is so vibrant and filled with diversity, and it also contains many very beautiful landmarks and so many nice buildings. The fans here were very enthusiastic and so lively as well, and I met some pretty cool people at the meet-n-greet.
Oh, and the pizza is absolutely delicious.
Today, I'm just taking some downtime since I've been super busy with concerts, interviews, meet-n-greets and such that I haven't really had too much time to myself. I'm gonna be exploring some of the city's tourist spots on my own; the ones I was telling Amber about, Skydeck Chicago and the Navy Pier. On top of that, the media is trying to get more out of me and publishing articles and pictures and such about my personal life which I've been ignoring, such as my relationship with Amber. I'm glad Amber and I talked about how we wouldn't let that affect our relationship and that as of right now, we're just keeping it between family and friends; even though maybe in the future that may change.
Speaking of which, I know how we were having a conversation about when I would be visiting her again and how we'd miss each other; but don't worry. I'll be surprising her on Valentine's Day. I already scheduled a dinner for us at this restaurant in Philly called Bravissimo that my Uncle Juan recommended to me. We'll both be happy to see each other again. I know I can't wait to see her again. She's been such a tremendous joy in my life...
As of right now, before I head out to explore Chicago some more, I'm just sitting in my hotel room working on some more songs for my second album. I haven't picked out a name for the album yet, but that will come. I'm wrapping up one of the last songs for the album, called "When I Was Your Man." This is based on a heartbreak I went through in the past that was mostly my fault. I started writing it a long time ago but I decided to go back to it and continue it. Well, one of the things about broken hearts is that beautiful songs can come out of them.
It all just sounds like ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh
Mmm, too young too dumb to realize
That I should've bought you flowers
And held your handShould've gave you all my hours
When I had the chance
Take you to every party cause all you wanted to do was dance
Now my baby's dancing
But she's dancing with another man
Although it hurts
I'll be the first to say that I was wrong
Oh, I know I'm probably much too late
To try and apologize for my mistakes
But I just want you to know
I hope he buys you flowers
I hope he holds your hand
Give you all his hours
When he has the chance
Take you to every party
Cause I remember how much you love to dance
Do all the things I should've done
When I was your man
Do all the things I should've done
When I was your man
I already spoke to Anthony about how my second album is almost wrapped up, and he's very proud of me considering that my first tour barely started and I already have another album almost done. Music is just something that I love to do, and it's a blessing that it's now my hobby and my job.
