February 4th, 2011

Today is the day of my girls' night out with Chloe, Amari and Dahlia at the new nightclub that opened, Vibrance. It's gonna be so nice just getting to unwind with my girls. It kinda connects to what Bruno was telling me the other day; you always gotta make sure to take the time you need for yourself when it comes to leisure and free time. I'm happy for him that he's been enjoying seeing more cities. Speaking of which, I feel as if Bruno's been teasing me about when the next time we're gonna see each other is. Oh well. Only time will tell. I can't wait to see him again, though.

It's around 3:00 in the afternoon, and I'm at my mom's house; I just wanted to stop by and visit her to slowly build up our relationship again. Lately, I can tell she's been trying to make up for the lost time that we had. Nonetheless, I'm working on forgiving her for allowing our relationship to be tarnished by that asshole. However, it's always important to focus on the present rather than the past, since if you keep looking back, you'll end up missing out on what's right in front of you. As much as the past can be harsh, we all need to let go or else it'll end up haunting us forever. And besides, she's my mom, and the only mom I'll ever have.

"So, Amber, how's it going with your relationship with Bruno? I saw some things in the media about you guys," She asks as we both sit at the kitchen table sipping on some tea that she offered.

"Ah. Well, as of right now, we agreed to keep our relationship between friends and family. We've still been keeping in touch and all that, though. He's very sweet," I smile.

"I'm glad. Kudos to you for scoring a popstar," she grins.

"Yeah, I know...it was fate I guess," I smile.

"But hey, as long as you guys are happy, no need to worry. May I ask...is he the first guy you're ever truly falling in love with, mijita?"

"I mean, I've been involved with some guys in the past, but none of them have compared to Bruno. That's all I'll say for now," I reply a bit nervously, even though I do have strong feelings for Bruno. Feelings that growing each day.

"Ah. Love is something that builds up overtime. No need to worry about that, didn't mean to make you nervous," she puts her hand on mine. I really missed mom and daughter time.

"Thanks so much," we rest our hands together.

"I'd like to meet him eventually, you know. Mom's approval," she smirks.

"He actually said he wanted to meet you too. Don't worry, next time he visits I'll bring him over. And yes, I know all about mom's approval" I smile.

"That's wonderful! I would love to meet the man who stole my daughter's heart." I shyly smile.

"How's your job?" I ask her.

"Eh, it pays the bills. Waitressing can also be nice though; I get free food," she laughs.

"Haha, yep. I remember you would bring home Dahlia and I food," I smile.

"Yeah, since cooking would be off my list of the many things I had to do," she laughingly proclaims.

"Well, I'm glad it's going alright. How are you feeling about the divorce?" I ask her with a serious tone after some time passes.

"I'm managing. And besides, having you and Dahlia again in my life via genuine relationships is enough to heal me," she smiles.

"You have no idea how happy I am to be able to have you in my life again as well...I just feel very bad since this is your second broken heart" I respond, as I pause realizing I just referenced my father; the man whom none of us have seen in years.
