The air was crisp, carrying the faint scent of sweet treats and the laughter of festival-goers. Y/N and Logan stepped into the heart of the festival of lights, their eyes wide with wonder. Strands of twinkling lights hung from trees, and colorful lanterns floated like stars against the night sky. Each corner of the festival held a new surprise, igniting excitement within them.
Logan's hand found Y/N's, and he gave it a gentle squeeze. "You ready for this?" he asked, a playful glint in his eyes.
Y/N grinned back at him, her heart warming at the simple touch. "Absolutely! I've been looking forward to this all week."
As they strolled through the festival, Y/N took in the vibrant displays around them. Lanterns in various shapes and colors floated gracefully overhead, illuminating the path with a soft glow. Couples laughed and children squealed with delight, creating a magical atmosphere that felt almost surreal.
"Look at that one!" Y/N exclaimed, pointing to a lantern shaped like a dragon. "It's amazing!"
Logan chuckled, watching her excitement. "I don't think I've ever seen a dragon this close up," he said, his voice laced with amusement. "I bet it's friendly, though."
She laughed, nudging him playfully. "Yeah, right! Just don't let it eat you."
As they continued walking, Y/N's heart swelled with happiness. She loved moments like this with Logan—simple yet filled with joy. He had a way of making everything feel more exciting, as if the world was a grand adventure just waiting to unfold.
"Let's make a wish," Logan suggested, stopping in front of a stall where colorful lanterns were being sold. "We could write our wishes down and let them float away."
Y/N nodded eagerly, her mind racing with possibilities. "I love that idea! What should we wish for?"
"Something big," he said, a playful smirk on his face. "Like world peace or... a lifetime supply of beer."
She rolled her eyes, suppressing a laugh. "Okay, let's get serious here. How about we wish for happiness? For both of us?"
"Sounds good to me," Logan agreed, his expression softening. "Let's do it."
After selecting two lanterns, they found a quiet corner of the festival where they could sit and write their wishes. Y/N grabbed a pen and carefully wrote her heartfelt desire on the paper, taking a moment to reflect. The words flowed easily, filled with hope and dreams for their future.
Logan, on the other hand, scribbled something down, his brow furrowing in concentration. "You sure you want to share your wish?" he asked, glancing at her.
Y/N smiled, tilting her head playfully. "Maybe. But only if you share yours first."
"Fair enough," he said, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "I wish for a future filled with adventures and lots of memories with you. And maybe a few dragons along the way."
Her heart melted at his words, and she felt warmth spreading through her. "That's beautiful, Logan," she said softly, her voice barely above a whisper. "I wish for us to always find joy in the little things, no matter where life takes us."
With their wishes written down, they made their way to a small open area where people were gathering to release their lanterns. The air buzzed with excitement, and the soft glow of lanterns dancing against the dark sky created a breathtaking scene.
Logan helped Y/N secure her lantern, their fingers brushing against each other. As they stood side by side, the intimate moment brought them closer together, the world around them fading away.
"Ready?" he asked, his voice low, filled with anticipation.
"Ready," she replied, her heart racing.
With a shared breath, they counted together. "One... two... three!"
