The afternoon had been peaceful, a rarity for the life Y/N and Logan led. The two of them had taken advantage of the lull in action, deciding to go for a walk through the woods just outside the mansion. Logan was usually more of a lone wolf, but over time, he had grown comfortable enough with Y/N to enjoy moments like these. Neither of them spoke much, but they didn't need to. The quiet between them was easy, the kind of silence that felt comforting rather than awkward.

The sky had been overcast when they left, the air thick with the promise of rain, but neither of them minded. They'd been through enough battles together that a little rain didn't seem like a problem.

"Looks like we're gonna get soaked," Y/N commented, glancing up at the darkening sky, her voice light.

Logan grunted in response, a small smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. "Wouldn't be the first time."

Y/N chuckled, shaking her head as they continued walking. She had always admired Logan's rough edges, his gruff exterior that masked a deeper, more caring side. He wasn't one for small talk, but she had learned to read the subtle cues—the way he would check on her after a mission, or how he would stand just a little closer to her when danger was near, as if silently promising to keep her safe.

There was something between them, something neither of them had acknowledged out loud. Maybe it was the intensity of their shared experiences or the fact that Logan had a way of making her feel grounded even in the chaos of their lives. Whatever it was, it had been simmering beneath the surface for a while now, waiting for the right moment to break through.

The first drops of rain fell just as they reached the clearing, a light sprinkle that quickly turned into a heavy downpour. Logan swore under his breath, glancing around for shelter.

"Come on," he grumbled, grabbing Y/N's hand and leading her toward a small wooden structure a few yards away. It wasn't much—just a little gazebo tucked into the edge of the forest—but it was enough to keep them dry for the time being.

They ducked inside, the sound of the rain drumming against the wooden roof filling the air. Y/N leaned against one of the support beams, catching her breath as the rain fell in thick sheets around them. The sudden downpour had left her soaked, her hair sticking to her face, her clothes clinging to her skin. She glanced at Logan, who looked equally drenched but unbothered by it.

"Guess we're stuck here for a bit," Y/N said with a wry smile, brushing a wet strand of hair out of her face.

Logan shrugged, his eyes scanning the rain-soaked forest around them. "Could be worse."

The rain created a sense of isolation, as if the rest of the world had disappeared, leaving only the two of them in this small, intimate space. The air between them felt different now—charged, as if the storm had brought with it an unspoken tension that neither of them could ignore. Y/N's heart was racing, but it wasn't from the rain or the cold. It was from the way Logan was looking at her now, his dark eyes intense, as if he were seeing her in a new light.

Without a word, Logan stepped closer, his hand reaching up to gently brush a wet strand of hair from her face. The gesture was surprisingly tender, a contrast to his usual rough demeanor, and it sent a jolt of warmth through her.

"You're soaked," Logan muttered, his voice low, almost gruff, but there was something else in his tone—something softer, more vulnerable.

"So are you," Y/N replied, her voice barely above a whisper as she looked up at him, her heart pounding in her chest.

Logan's fingers lingered on her cheek for a moment longer than necessary, his touch gentle but firm. Y/N could feel the tension between them building, the closeness they'd been skirting around for so long now impossible to ignore. The rain drummed steadily on the roof above them, but all she could focus on was the way Logan's gaze softened as he looked at her, the way his hand stayed against her cheek as if he couldn't bring himself to pull away.

"I've been trying to... not do this," Logan murmured, his voice rough around the edges as if the words were difficult for him to say. "But I can't seem to help it anymore."

Y/N's breath caught in her throat, her pulse quickening at the raw honesty in his voice. She had always known there was something between them, but hearing him admit it out loud sent a thrill through her that she couldn't ignore. She placed her hand over his, her fingers gently curling around his as she leaned into his touch.

"You don't have to fight it," Y/N whispered, her voice soft, her eyes locked with his.

For a long moment, they just stood there, the rain pouring down around them, the air thick with anticipation. Logan's eyes darkened, his jaw clenching slightly as if he were waging some internal battle. But then, as if something inside him finally snapped, he closed the distance between them, his lips crashing down on hers in a kiss that was both fierce and desperate.

Y/N melted into him, her hands gripping his shoulders as she kissed him back with equal intensity. It was like the floodgates had opened, all the tension, all the unspoken feelings between them pouring out in that single, heated kiss. Logan's hands slid down to her waist, pulling her closer as the rain continued to fall around them, the storm outside nothing compared to the one raging between them.

The kiss deepened, and Y/N could feel the raw need in every movement, the way Logan's hands tightened around her as if he couldn't bear to let her go. She had always known he was intense, but this—this was different. This was Logan letting down his guard completely, letting her see the side of him that he kept hidden from everyone else.

When they finally pulled apart, both of them breathless, Logan rested his forehead against hers, his hands still gripping her waist as if afraid she might slip away.

"I wasn't sure if I'd ever do that," Logan muttered, his voice low and rough, but there was a hint of a smile on his lips now.

Y/N smiled, her heart still racing as she leaned into him, her fingers tracing the line of his jaw. "I'm glad you did."

Logan chuckled softly, shaking his head as if he couldn't believe what had just happened. "You're gonna be trouble, aren't you?"

Y/N laughed, the sound light and full of joy despite the intensity of the moment. "Only if you're lucky."

Logan's grin widened, his usual cocky edge returning for just a moment before he leaned in again, capturing her lips in another deep, lingering kiss. The rain continued to fall around them, but inside the small shelter, it felt like the rest of the world had faded away, leaving only the two of them in this perfect, stolen moment.

For the first time in a long time, Logan wasn't thinking about the past, or the pain, or the danger that constantly surrounded them. He was just here, with her, caught in the rain, and for once, he didn't want to be anywhere else.
