After a long day filled with meetings, training sessions, and the unending hustle of life at the Xavier Institute, Y/N felt exhausted. She trudged through the familiar halls, longing for a moment of peace. The moment she stepped into her room, she noticed a familiar blue figure waiting for her.

"Hank," she said, surprised but delighted to see him. "What are you doing here?"

Hank McCoy stood with a warm smile, a hint of mischief in his bright blue eyes. "I thought you might like to escape for a bit. How about a late-night drive?"

Her heart quickened at the thought. "That sounds amazing. But where to?"

"Just trust me," he replied, taking her hand and leading her toward the exit.

They slipped out of the mansion, careful not to disturb any of the sleeping residents, and hopped into Hank's car. The engine purred to life, a comforting sound that echoed through the quiet night. As they drove, the moon hung high in the sky, casting a silver glow over the winding roads.

Y/N turned to Hank, her curiosity piqued. "So, where are we going?"

"A little hilltop I discovered a while back," he said, glancing at her with a soft smile. "It's perfect for stargazing. Just you, me, and the universe."

As they drove, the air was filled with the scent of night blooming flowers and the soft music playing from the radio. The familiar comfort of Hank's presence made her feel safe and excited. After a short drive, they arrived at the hilltop, a secluded spot away from the hustle and bustle of their everyday lives.

Hank parked the car, and they stepped out, the cool night air wrapping around them like a gentle embrace. He grabbed a blanket from the back seat and spread it across the grass, motioning for her to join him.

"Here we are," he said, his eyes sparkling with excitement as they sat down. "Welcome to our private observatory."

Y/N looked up, the vast sky sprawled above them, countless stars twinkling like diamonds scattered across a velvet backdrop. It took her breath away. "It's beautiful," she whispered, lying back on the blanket, her heart racing with the magic of the moment.

Hank joined her, his arm draping comfortably over her shoulders. "It's one of my favorite views. The stars remind me of how small we are, but also how connected we are to everything."

They lay there for a while in comfortable silence, their eyes tracing constellations and shooting stars as they pointed them out to each other. Y/N felt a sense of calm wash over her, the worries of the day fading into the background.

"What do you think the future holds for us?" Y/N asked, turning her head to look at him. The moonlight illuminated Hank's face, highlighting the gentle curve of his smile.

He pondered for a moment, a thoughtful expression crossing his features. "I hope for a world where we can be free to explore, to be ourselves without fear. I see us traveling, discovering new places, and, of course, taking long drives like this."

His words wrapped around her like a warm blanket, filling her with a sense of hope and excitement. "I'd love that. Exploring the world with you sounds perfect."

They talked about their dreams, sharing hopes of adventure, aspirations, and even the mundane things—like where they would like to live someday. Each word exchanged felt like a piece of their future falling into place.

"And maybe," Hank added with a teasing glint in his eye, "we can find a place with a good view of the stars."

Y/N laughed, nudging him playfully. "You're just trying to make sure you can always get me out to see the stars, aren't you?"

"Guilty as charged," he replied, a grin spreading across his face. "But can you blame me? You make even the stars look dull in comparison."

She felt her cheeks warm at the compliment, and for a moment, they both fell silent, the air around them thick with the unspoken emotions that lingered between them.

As the night wore on, they eventually settled into a comfortable silence, the only sounds being the gentle rustling of leaves and the soft murmurs of the wind. Y/N nestled closer to Hank, resting her head against his chest, feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat.

"Thank you for tonight," she murmured, feeling content and cherished. "This was exactly what I needed."

Hank pressed a soft kiss to the top of her head. "Anytime, Y/N. I'd do anything to see you smile."

With that, they remained tangled together under the vast expanse of the starry sky, wrapped in each other's arms. Time seemed to stand still, and in that moment, they felt like they were the only two people in the world.

As Y/N's eyes grew heavy, she found herself drifting into a peaceful sleep, cocooned in the warmth of Hank's embrace and the enchanting beauty of the universe above them. She knew that as long as they had each other, they could face anything that came their way. And under the stars, everything felt just right.
