The sun peeked through the curtains, casting a warm glow over the room as I stirred awake. It was 9 AM, and as I reached out, I realized the bed was unusually cold. Logan's side was empty, and the usual warmth I felt from his body was missing.
I heard the shower turn off and decided to stay put, pretending to be asleep.
"Ya know, bub, I can tell when you're awake. You don't gotta pretend," Logan's voice called out from the bathroom, a teasing edge to his tone.
I couldn't help but smile at his comment. With a playful grin, I slowly stretched, savoring the lingering sensation of his absence. I slipped out of bed and padded to the bathroom door, where I found Logan emerging, a towel draped around his waist. His eyes sparkled with affection as he saw me.
"Good morning, beautiful," he said, his voice soft and low, full of warmth. He reached out, pulling me into a gentle embrace. I melted into his arms, feeling his body heat envelop me.
"I missed you," I murmured against his chest, my fingers lightly tracing his damp skin.
"I missed you too," Logan replied, his hand coming up to cup my face. He tilted my chin up and pressed a tender kiss to my lips. The kiss was slow and filled with longing, our connection deepening with each touch.
After our kiss, I smiled up at him, feeling content and cherished. I gave him another quick peck on the lips before swaying my hips playfully as I walked toward the bathroom. I could feel his gaze following me, filled with both affection and admiration.
I turned on the shower and stepped in, letting the warm water cascade over me. As I scrubbed my hair and body clean, I thought about how perfect the morning felt. I finished quickly, grabbed a towel, and wrapped it around myself before heading back to the bedroom.
The view outside the window was breathtaking—the world was covered in a pristine layer of snow, sparkling in the sunlight. I squealed with delight, jumping up and down in excitement.
I quickly dressed in my snow gear, my movements light and joyous. I pranced around the kitchen, grabbing a banana and devouring it eagerly. Lost in my excitement, I didn't notice Logan standing nearby, watching me with a smoldering gaze.
Feeling a surge of desire from his intense stare, I felt a thrill of anticipation. Logan's presence was electric as he approached me from behind, his lips brushing my neck with warm, tantalizing kisses. I shivered and giggled at his touch.
"Logannnnnn, come outside with meeee," I coaxed, turning to face him with a teasing smile.
"Oh hell no," he said, though his tone lacked conviction.
"Pleaseeee?" I added, giving him a playful pout.
He sighed, nodded and winked at me, making my heart flutter. I squealed with joy and dashed to grab his coat, my excitement barely contained.
When Logan returned, dressed in snow boots, a long-sleeved shirt, and his coat, I handed him the coat with another kiss. I then eagerly pulled him outside, the cold air biting pleasantly against our cheeks.
Without wasting any time, I scooped up a snowball and, with a mischievous glint in my eye, threw it at Logan. It hit him squarely in the back of the neck. He froze for a moment.
Oh shit. I'm dead.
I took off running, but I barely got five steps before Logan tackled me to the ground.
"You're gonna get payback for that one, darlin'," he growled playfully.
His fingers began to tickle me mercilessly, and I erupted into uncontrollable laughter.
"LOGAN, STOP!" I gasped between fits of giggles.
"Fine. Whatever you want... princess."
"What did you just call me?" I managed to ask through my laughter.
He looked down at me with a mischievous smirk. "Princess. You're my little snow princess."
I grinned up at him, feeling warm and content despite the cold. Logan's playful side always managed to bring out the best in me, and in this moment, surrounded by laughter and snow, everything felt just perfect.
