The sun was dipping below the horizon, casting a warm golden hue over the bustling café where Logan Howlett and Y/N were seated. Logan, ever the brooding figure with his rugged charm, sat across from Y/N, his brow furrowed in mild irritation. They were deep in conversation, the noise of the café providing a lively backdrop to their discussion.
Y/N, oblivious to Logan's growing frustration, was animatedly recounting a recent adventure with her friends. Her excitement was infectious, her gestures expressive as she described every detail with enthusiasm. Logan tried to focus, but his attention kept slipping to how Y/N's voice seemed to be getting louder, more insistent, and the way her hand kept brushing against his.
Logan's fingers tapped rhythmically on the table, a clear sign of his impatience. He shifted in his seat, his usually relaxed demeanor now tinged with a trace of annoyance. It wasn't that he didn't enjoy hearing about Y/N's day, but the way she was ignoring his attempts to interject was grating on him.
"Y/N, I—" Logan started, trying to get a word in.
"—And then Mark said—" Y/N continued, her eyes sparkling with excitement. She seemed completely engrossed in her story, completely missing Logan's mounting frustration.
Logan's jaw tightened, and he let out a low growl, the sound barely audible over the café's chatter. His patience had reached its limit. Without another word, he stood up abruptly, his chair scraping loudly against the floor. Y/N paused, looking up at him with a mixture of surprise and curiosity.
Before she could react, Logan moved with swift, decisive action. In a move that was both startling and strangely endearing, he scooped Y/N up effortlessly, throwing her over his shoulder with a mixture of strength and tenderness. Y/N let out a surprised yelp, her hands flailing as she tried to process what was happening.
"Logan! What—" Y/N's voice was muffled by the angle of his shoulder.
Logan grinned, a mischievous glint in his eye. "You've been talking non-stop for the last ten minutes. I think it's time for a change of scenery."
He made his way towards the café's exit, Y/N's amused laughter and protestations echoing behind him. Patrons turned their heads, some with raised eyebrows, others with smirks, as Logan carried his partner through the bustling café.
Outside, the evening air was crisp, a refreshing change from the warm café. Logan maneuvered down a side street, seeking a more private spot away from the prying eyes. The alleyway he chose was narrow and dimly lit, the streetlights casting long shadows against the walls.
Logan set Y/N down gently against the cool brick wall, her feet touching the ground as she looked up at him with an incredulous expression.
"Are you done being jealous?" Y/N asked, her voice a mix of amusement and affection.
Logan shrugged, a roguish grin playing on his lips. "Maybe I just wanted some attention. You've been a bit too focused on your friends' stories lately."
Y/N rolled her eyes, but her smile was warm. "You know I didn't mean to ignore you. I just got carried away."
Logan's gaze softened as he reached out to cup Y/N's face in his hands. The alleyway was quiet, the only sound their soft breaths mingling in the chilly air. Logan's touch was firm yet tender, his thumbs brushing lightly against Y/N's cheeks.
"I know," Logan murmured, his voice low and earnest. "I just needed you to see that I'm here too."
Y/N's eyes fluttered closed for a moment, savoring the warmth of his touch. She opened them again, looking up at him with a loving gaze. "I'm glad you're here. And I promise I'll pay more attention."
Logan's lips curved into a smile before he leaned in, capturing Y/N's lips with his own. The kiss was intense and passionate, a blend of relief and longing. His lips moved with a fervor that spoke of all the emotions he'd been holding back, the frustration and jealousy melting away into pure affection.
Y/N responded eagerly, her arms wrapping around Logan's neck as she pressed closer, their bodies flush against each other. The narrow alleyway seemed to close in around them, the world beyond forgotten. The kiss deepened, their breaths coming in short, heated gasps as they explored each other with a fervent urgency.
Logan's hands roamed to Y/N's waist, pulling her tighter against him, their bodies moving in sync with the rhythm of their kiss. The cool night air contrasted sharply with the heat of their shared embrace, the sensation of their skin against each other a tantalizing contrast.
Y/N's fingers tangled in Logan's hair, her touch both delicate and insistent as she guided him closer. Every kiss, every caress seemed to unravel the tension between them, replacing it with a deep, satisfying connection.
When they finally pulled back, both breathless and flushed, their foreheads rested together, their eyes locked in a gaze that conveyed everything words could not. Logan's thumb brushed gently across Y/N's cheek, a silent apology and a promise all in one.
"I needed this," Y/N whispered, her voice tender and full of affection.
Logan nodded, his eyes softening as he looked at her. "Me too. Sometimes I just need to remind myself what really matters."
Y/N smiled, her fingers tracing along the edge of Logan's jaw. "I'm here, and I'm not going anywhere."
Logan's smile widened, his heart swelling with love and contentment. "Good. Let's make sure we remember that."
