The air outside was crisp, carrying the scent of the autumn leaves that had begun to blanket the grounds of Xavier's School. It was one of those evenings where everything felt perfect—peaceful and still. Normally, I'd be outside enjoying the weather, but tonight, my thoughts were consumed with Erik. I found myself drawn to the lower levels of the mansion, where I knew he'd be.
I hesitated outside the heavy steel door to his workshop, feeling the usual flutter of anticipation in my stomach. Erik always had this effect on me. His intensity, his strength, the way he made me feel seen and understood—it all pulled me in, like a magnet to metal.
Taking a breath, I knocked softly, the sound barely carrying through the thick door. Almost immediately, it slid open, revealing Erik's familiar workshop bathed in dim, flickering light. Erik stood in the center of the room, his back to me, focused on a small metal sphere that hovered effortlessly between his hands. The sight of him—so powerful, so commanding—sent a thrill through me.
"Come in, darling," Erik said without turning around, his voice like a low purr that sent shivers down my spine.
I stepped inside, letting the door close behind me. The heat from the glowing metal filled the room, making the air feel thick and intimate. I watched him for a moment, unable to look away, before moving closer.
"You always know when I'm here," I said softly, my voice barely above a whisper.
Erik turned to face me, his eyes softening as they met mine. "I can always sense you," he replied, a hint of a smile playing at his lips. "It's like I'm tuned to your presence."
My heart swelled at his words. Erik wasn't one to say things lightly, and I knew he meant every word. "Is that a good thing?" I teased, moving closer until I was right in front of him, so close I could feel the heat radiating from his body.
He reached out, his hand cupping my cheek, his thumb gently stroking my skin. "It's a very good thing," he said, his voice dropping to that intimate tone that always made me weak. "You're the only thing that keeps me sane, my love. The only thing that makes all of this—" he gestured to the room around us, "—bearable."
I placed my hand over his, holding it against my cheek, feeling his warmth seep into me. "You make me feel safe, Erik," I said softly. "Like nothing could ever hurt me when I'm with you."
Erik's hand slid from my cheek to the back of my neck, pulling me closer. "I won't let anything hurt you, Y/N. You mean everything to me." His voice was low and rough, filled with an emotion that took my breath away.
He leaned in, his lips capturing mine in a kiss that was deep and slow, filled with a hunger that had my knees going weak. I kissed him back, my hands sliding up to tangle in his hair, pulling him closer. His other arm wrapped around my waist, holding me firmly against him, the heat of his body pressing into mine.
The kiss deepened, his tongue sliding against mine, sending a wave of heat through me. I moaned softly into his mouth, my hands tightening in his hair as he backed me up against the cool metal table. The contrast of the cold metal against my back and the heat of Erik's body in front of me sent shivers through my entire body.
"Erik..." I breathed his name as he trailed kisses down my neck, his hands sliding under my shirt to touch my bare skin. His touch was hot and demanding, making me arch against him, wanting more.
"You're so beautiful," he murmured against my skin, his lips trailing over my collarbone. "So perfect." His hands moved to the hem of my shirt, tugging it up over my head, and I let him, raising my arms to help. The fabric hit the floor, and his eyes darkened as he took me in, his hands sliding over my bare skin.
"God, Erik," I whispered, my breath hitching as his hands cupped my breasts, his thumbs brushing over my nipples. His touch sent sparks of pleasure through me, making me gasp.
He smiled, that rare, genuine smile that made him look softer, less burdened. "I love seeing you like this," he said softly, his hands trailing down to my waist, pulling me closer. "I love having you all to myself."
I smiled up at him, reaching up to pull his shirt over his head, revealing the lean, muscled chest beneath. I ran my hands over his skin, feeling the strength there, the warmth. "You can have me any way you want," I whispered, leaning in to kiss him again, my hands sliding down to his belt, tugging it open.
Erik's breath hitched as I pushed his pants down over his hips, his hands moving to undo my own, sliding them down until they joined the rest of our clothes on the floor. We stood there for a moment, bare skin pressed against bare skin, the heat between us building, our breaths coming fast and shallow.
"Y/N," Erik whispered, his voice thick with emotion. "I need you."
I smiled, pulling him closer, pressing my lips to his ear. "Then take me," I whispered back, my voice filled with desire.
He didn't need any more encouragement. Erik lifted me onto the table, his hands sliding down my thighs as he positioned himself between my legs. His eyes met mine, and for a moment, everything else fell away. There was just the two of us, the magnetic pull between us stronger than ever.
And then he was inside me, filling me completely, and I gasped, my head falling back as pleasure washed over me. Erik moved with a slow, steady rhythm, his hands holding my hips, guiding me. Each movement sent waves of pleasure through me, building higher and higher until I was lost in it, in him.
"Erik," I gasped, my hands gripping his shoulders, pulling him closer. "Don't stop."
He groaned, his movements quickening, his hands tightening on my hips. "I love you, Y/N," he murmured against my skin, his voice rough and breathless. "I love you so much."
Hearing those words, feeling him inside me, his body against mine, was enough to send me over the edge. I cried out, my body tightening around him as pleasure exploded through me, leaving me trembling in his arms. Erik followed moments later, his own release shuddering through him, his hands gripping me tightly as he buried his face in my neck.
We stayed like that for a moment, holding each other, our breaths mingling in the quiet room. Finally, Erik lifted his head, his eyes meeting mine. He cupped my face in his hands, his thumbs brushing over my cheeks.
"You're everything to me," he said softly. "Everything."
I smiled, leaning in to kiss him gently. "And you're my whole world, Erik. Always."
As we stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, I knew that no matter what came next, we'd face it together. Because nothing could break the bond between us—nothing could pull us apart. Not when our love was as strong as steel.
