I watched from across the room, my fingers gripping the edge of the table a little too tightly. My eyes were fixed on Kurt, who was standing near the couch, talking to one of the new recruits. She was pretty—tall, with long red hair and a smile that hadn't faded since she walked into the room. Kurt was laughing, his golden eyes lighting up as he spoke to her. His tail swished back and forth playfully, a sure sign that he was enjoying himself.

A familiar knot of jealousy twisted in my stomach, and I took a deep breath, trying to calm the rising tide of irritation. I knew Kurt was friendly, kind to everyone. It was one of the reasons I loved him. But seeing him so close to her, so relaxed, it made my chest tighten. She was touching his arm, leaning in closer than necessary, and he didn't seem to mind.

I could feel my face heating up, and I knew my eyes were probably flashing with anger. I hated feeling like this, hated the insecurity that bubbled up whenever I saw him with someone else. But I couldn't help it. Kurt was mine, and the thought of someone else catching his attention, of him smiling at someone else the way he smiled at me, made my blood boil.

As if sensing my gaze, Kurt glanced up, his eyes locking with mine from across the room. A slow smile spread across his face, and he raised an eyebrow, clearly noticing my less-than-pleasant expression. I quickly looked away, trying to pretend I hadn't been watching him, but it was too late. He'd seen me, and he knew exactly what I was feeling.

A moment later, I felt the familiar sensation of air shifting around me, a faint sound of displaced space, and then the smell of brimstone. I looked up to find Kurt standing right in front of me, his tail flicking lazily behind him, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

"Hallo, Liebling," he said softly, his voice carrying that familiar lilting accent. "Is everything okay?"

I crossed my arms over my chest, refusing to meet his gaze. "Everything's fine," I said, a little too sharply. I could feel his eyes on me, studying my face, reading my emotions like an open book.

He chuckled softly, leaning in closer, his tail wrapping around my waist, pulling me toward him. "You know," he murmured, his voice low and teasing, "you look adorable when you're jealous."

"I'm not jealous," I snapped, but the heat in my cheeks betrayed me. Kurt's smile widened, his fangs just barely visible. He loved getting under my skin, and right now, he was clearly enjoying himself.

"Are you sure about that, Schatz?" he asked, tilting his head. "Because it certainly looked like you were about to set that poor girl on fire with your eyes. Should I be worried?"

I rolled my eyes, trying to ignore the way my heart sped up at his proximity. "You're not funny, Kurt," I said, but there was no heat in my words. His playful tone and the glint in his eyes made it hard to stay angry.

Kurt's tail tightened slightly around my waist, pulling me even closer. His hands came up to rest on my hips, his touch gentle but firm. "Come now, meine Liebe," he said, his voice softening. "You know you're the only one for me. There's no need to be jealous. I only have eyes for you."

His words sent a shiver down my spine, and I finally met his gaze. His golden eyes were full of affection, his smile warm and sincere. I felt my anger and jealousy melt away, replaced by a rush of love for the man standing in front of me.

"I just... I don't like seeing other people flirt with you," I admitted, my voice barely a whisper. "It makes me feel like I'm not good enough, like maybe you'll find someone better."

Kurt's expression softened, and he cupped my face in his hands, his thumb brushing gently over my cheek. "You are more than enough," he said firmly. "You are everything to me. There is no one else. I promise you that."

His words were like a balm to my insecurities, and I leaned into his touch, letting out a sigh. "I'm sorry for being so possessive," I said quietly. "I just... I love you so much, Kurt. I don't want to lose you."

He smiled, leaning in to press a soft kiss to my forehead. "You will never lose me, Y/N," he murmured against my skin. "I am yours, completely and utterly. And if it makes you feel better to get a little jealous now and then, well... I can live with that."

I looked up at him, raising an eyebrow. "You enjoy it, don't you?" I asked, a small smile tugging at my lips. "You like knowing I get jealous."

Kurt chuckled, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Perhaps a little," he admitted. "It's nice to know you care so much. But I would never do anything to make you doubt my love, Liebling. You mean everything to me."

I smiled, my heart swelling with love for him. "You mean everything to me too," I said softly, leaning up to kiss him. His lips met mine, warm and gentle, and I melted into his embrace, all thoughts of jealousy and insecurity fading away. There was only Kurt, only us, and in that moment, that was all I needed.

When we finally pulled away, Kurt rested his forehead against mine, his tail still wrapped around me. "Now, let's go get some dinner," he said, his voice light and teasing. "And maybe we can find a quiet spot for just the two of us."

I laughed, feeling light and happy. "I'd like that," I said, taking his hand in mine. "I'd like that a lot."
