a new era of me

Sorry for any confusion, there was a time jump last chapter!! I've been busy with some college stuff, been studious, so I didn't want to write much.

Plus this pushes further to an important part coming soon !!  So if there's random time skips here and there it's because I'm either extremely busy or the filler in between is not exactly needed.

~September 24th~

After the events of yesterday I took the morning to rest and have to myself, I technically have 2 free periods this morning.  The reason to that is because apparently  Harry, Ron, and Hermione had gotten into some crazy situation. 

Which isn't exactly surprising.

But I'm not complaining, a free period to myself?? Amazing, then after that lunch, absolutely amazing.  So I'm practically free all morning, well besides the fact that in about 15 minutes I'm supposed to go watch the practice match between the Hufflepuffs and the Slytherins.

I didn't have to go but I promised Draco that I'd go, I don't really want to go because of the whole Mattheo thing.  Did he seriously think I was getting engaged?? Like hello?? I'm eighteen, why the fuck would I be getting engaged.

Enzo had the support of Tessa, Theo had the support of Pansy. So I'd go support Draco, Draco and I finally made up. We didn't exactly talk about what happened but like we just randomly talked and yeah. It was better than not being able to talk to him.

I missed my best friend.

I shook the unhappy thoughts away because now wasn't the time for that, I got up took a quick shower and got dressed, throwing on a nice warm comfy sweater and comfy pants. I made a very long walk over towards the stands, I got a good view too. Soon after I arrived Pansy and Tessa joined me, it was kind of awkward I won't lie.

The match was rather aggressive and it was only a practice match, fun.  Suddenly as I was watching the players, my eyes came in contact with Mattheo's.  His eyes held contact, a sense of vulnerability hidden deeply within. 

He quickly looked away and focused, as he focused away, Percy arrived and sat next to me.

I smiled and leaned my head against his shoulder.  Percy abruptly pulled back, which caught me off guard.  "What was that for?"  I asked, clearly confused.

"Oh I'm just not really feeling it today," He replied plainly as he looked away towards the game. 

"Oh," I said under my breath.

The practice match ended and I met Draco down near the locker rooms. As he came out, Mattheo followed after him.

"You were great out there," I said awkwardly as I walked next to Draco. Mattheo stayed quiet, he was all to himself.

"Well obviously?! You saw those shitheads doing nothing and just sucking straight—" Draco paused mid rant and stopped walking, pulling me by my arm. "Are you alright?" He asked suddenly.

"Huh? Yeah no, yeah." I said nodding before looking off to the side.

"Adaline seriously, are you alright? You seem upset or something." Draco pressed on.
