A Short Vacation

•CYRUS POV•

I get a text from Ronnie saying that she was out front and I quickly grab my duffle bag , I open it seeing the bloody clothes I worn from night I killed John and his folks . I gotta get rid of this shit I thought to myself. I grab it and zip it back up setting it next to my other bag. I spray some cologne on and quickly go out my room and grab my keys and phone off the charger. Ronnie wanted to take a little 3 day trip at the Wilmer mountains, she said wanted to go skiing , I chuckled to myself. Grabbing both my bags and heading out the door making sure to lock up behind myself.

I was kinda excited to leave the city for the couple days.. it's been a minute since I enjoyed myself plus I used to go there as a kid so I wanted to see the new things they got. I walk up to her car , and she quickly pops the truck open I put my things in the car and shut it back. "I can't believe you agreed to come with me" she said laughing , I chuckle with her "Why not?" I say putting the passenger seat back some more "Cause you always so serious" she says as she pulls off "No I'm not!" I say feeling a little offended.

She slowly lifts her shoulders "Mm.. I think you are , at least you have been these last couple weeks.. but I understand given the whole situation at Lamar's." She says looking down at her phone . I look at her , noticing how fresh her haircut was. "Did you cut some of your hair off?" I ask looking at her "Yeah" she said smiling as she turned the car. It did look nice I though "Do you like it?" She says and I shrug "Looks fine I guess" I say looking down at my phone .

"What's it gay to compliment me?" She said laughing and I look up at her trying not to laugh. Hopefully she doesn't try anything , I don't feel like getting into it over a kiss with this hoe. "You got the weed? Right I got the two bottles you asked for" she says and I nod "Yeah I got everything.. how long till we're there?" I say yawning "We got 2 hours and 33 minutes" she says and I take my coat off and put it over my body as a blanket. "I'm taking a nap" I mumbled turning my body so that my back was against her "Aight" she says turning her music up a little .

•RONNIES POV•

I just had to get away for the weekend , if Cyrus wasn't able to come I'd probably just went alone but good thing she was. She didn't give me she was the type to ski , but she told me she used to when she was younger. I look over at her , she slept the whole ride , we got about 10 minutes left till we arrive. After that day at the barbershop she's been texting me. I mean it's only been 2 days but still , she's been being nice to me and I'm here for it... I mean the girl paid for my haircut ! Jordan has also been texting me a lot , she even asked about Cyrus a few times tryna see if she was good and I thought that was real nice of her.

I never been skiing so I was pretty excited and nervous at the same time. I booked us a two bedroom hotel near by, I just have to pay for it when I get there. After a few minutes I start to notice how close the mountains where and I felt a smile creep on my face , I reach over towards Cyrus and tap her , She jumps out of her sleep and looks around I guess I scared her. "Sorry .. we're almost here" I say looking back at the road and then at her.

I watch as she yawns and stretches , you ain't get no sleep?" I asked as I change the song on the playlist. "Nah I was up the whole night , couldn't sleep" she says taking her coat off her body and laying it on her lap. "Hate those restless nights" I say , "You wanna smoke real quick?" She says sitting up , I nod my head as I use my break to slow down a little. I hear the blunt spark and she passes it to me first , I quickly grab the blunt and put it to my lips taking a big inhale.

I exhale and repeat the same process a couple times before passing it back to her. "So you said you been skiing right , How long ago was that?" I ask looking over at her , her eyes shoot up and she tilts her head as if she was trying to remember. "Umm Last time I went when I was 8 or 9 with my dad" she says "Yo ass probably don't even remember how to ski" I say chuckling , she coughs on the smoke and starts laughing "Not gone lie to you gang I don't remember that shit , it'll prolly come to me tho" she says confidently.

I smile at her as I pressed the gas pedal slowly. "Oh yeah how's Zoey been?" I ask her almost forgetting about her "I don't deal with her no more you late folks , here" Cyrus says laughing as she holds the blunt out for me to grab "When y'all break up?" I say genuinely wanting to know as I take the blunt out of her hand. "While ago , pay attention!" She shouts and I quickly look up seeing I almost hit the back of the car in front of me. "Sorry damn!" I say .

*BEEEP* the car in front of me blows the horn and quickly speeds up . "That explains why I haven't seen her in a while" I say and she nods slowly and I felt a little stupid for saying that last part but I shake away that thought. "I seen they got like two restaurants and a big store on the website ,I can't wait to eat!" I say taking a hit of the blunt , "Yoo for real.. a nigga hungry" she says and I thought of something she could eat , I laugh. "What? I am!" She says laughing with me and I shake my head , I look at my phone seeing we had 3 minutes left till we arrive.
