Happy Birthday Ronnie

"Ayo when we getting something to eat?! Im hungry" I said turning the music down "We only been on the road for 21 minutes Cyrus plus I would have to get off the bypass" she said giving me a quick glance . I watched as Ronnie sat so confidently in her seat , she   Has a great posture , and she drives really good if I'm being honest , definitely better then me... "Don't you want lunch on me? It's your birthdayyy!" I said sarcastically , I watched as she turned and looked at me with a big smile her dimples started to show , I stared into her eyes , for a moment I noticed how full of light they were , I looked away feeling a bit bashful.

"Dinner on you too?" She uttered , I could tell she was smiling ... "I don't know maybe , where you wanna eat?" I asked pulling my phone out , I didn't care what we ate I was just starving ! "I kinda want some brunch , they got a diner nearby?" She asked "Yeah , it's one 4 minutes away just hop off the bypass on the next exit" I said nodding my head towards the exit sign just a few yards away.

I watched as Ronnie checked the mirror before crossing lanes and getting off the bypass , I couldn't wait to eat something. I go to instagram seeing I had a few likes from some stud , I checked her page and followed her back . It's been a while since I posted something I thought looking through my pictures , I look over at Ronnie "Do you have a gram?" I asked , the sun got in her face and she pulled down mirror "I don't use my old instagram everything I got is new" she said "Why because what happened? You scared to be on your accounts?" I asked looking out my window as we came to a red light.

"Not scared I just don't want them police watching my every move.. that would be dumb of me to keep using my regular accounts." She said , pulling her phone off the stand She goes on iMessage and of course the first person that pops up was Jordan ! I watched as Ronnie texted her and got off iMessage , she goes to instagram "This is my new account but I don't post nor be on here" she said showing me her phone "Oh ok" I said giving her my phone so she could follow the GPS.

We pull up to a busy looking diner that had a big sign with bright lights on it. Ronnie pulls up close to the restaurant and we both get out. It was chilly but no where near as chilly as the mountains so I took my coat off since I had a thick hoodie on under. I threw that back in the car , Ronnie was fluffing her hair around , I shut my door and walk around to the back of her car and open up the trunk , I go in my bag and grabbed a couple $20 bills before zipping it back and shutting her trunk. I walk up to Ronnie who was now fixing her shirt "Ready?" I asked and she nodded her head.

We both began walking towards the diner. When we get inside it was more like a 90s type of vibe , they had a juice box playing music , the floor was colorful and shiny . I liked it "Damn it looks way better inside then out" Ronnie said leaning in close to my ear , I took a quick glance at her seeing she was already looking at me with kindness filling her face . I couldn't help but smile to myself... I was so amused by Ronnie if I'm being honest , she was so different from anybody I've ever met... she was genuine and full of life everyone I know wants to be in the streets or a gang banger when most these folks not even bout that life.

"Just the two of you?" She asked and Ronnie quickly spoke up "Yes , we'd like a booth please" she asked , I looked around seeing how full the restaurant was , clearly they got some good food I thought "Okay follow me this way , you guys will have a waiter soon , here's your menus" she said as we walked to our seat and sat down , she passed me and Ronnie each a menu "Enjoy" she said walking away from our table . I opened my menu taking a look at the drinks first , "What you getting to drink?" I asked looking at Ronnie who was focusing hard on the menu , I chuckled "What's so funny? I think ima just get the Blueberry lemonade" she said smirking at me . I looked back down at my food "Nothing , I'ma get a Cherry Lemonade that sounds good" I said , I felt my phone ringing inside my pocket.

"That does sound good I might have to try" she said , I pull my phone out and seen I had I missed call from Ty , Mir and Dj also texted me. I felt a little worried and I guess Ronnie could tell "What's wrong?" She asked leaning in close , as she touched my arm softly . She looked concerned "Hello! I'm Sarah I'll be your waiter this afternoon , what drinks are we having today?" Sarah asked looking at me and Ronnie . I noticed Ronnie still had her hand on my arm and I slowly pulled it away "I'll take the Cherry Lemonade and she wants the Blueberry , and give us two ice waters" I said cutting to the chase "Okay , I'll be right back with your beverages" she said after she wrote it in her little notepad .

"You okay?" Ronnie asked again and I almost forgot they texted me that quick . "Yeah it's just what you called my gang , Business? Right" I said using my fingers to quote the word business "You know what I meant! Anyways is everything okay? Anything I can help you with?" She asked and I shook my head "Your still trying to open up the shelter right?" She asked me by my surprise... "You remembered that?" I asked a little shocked "Duh Cyrus , I listen when you talk" she said , I stared at her almost amazed .

"What?" She said chuckling as she covered her mouth , I looked away smiling "I didn't know you remembered that , that's all" I said "Like I said , I listen when you talk" Ronnie said , I have this weird desire to kiss her right now . Fuck what am I thinking I thought ! "Well Thanks" I said. I felt a wave of emotions come over me , "Here you aree" she said setting our drinks down gently on the table "Thank you" we said almost at the same time. I pick my water up and drink that down a little , I was so thirsty and I didn't even realize it. "You guys ready to order? She said and I looked over at Ronnie who was looking in her menu still .

"Yes , I'll take the 2 large pancakes , hash browns , bacon and I would like onions in my hash browns" she Ronnie said closing her menu , "Okayy.. onions , and you?" She asked looking at me "I'll take the same" I said taking a sip of my drink. Finally something flavorful! "Okay , I'll be back in a few minutes with your things , if your done with the menus I could take them" she said , we both gave her the menus and she walks away.
