He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed.

Clearly, in the context, Peter is talking about spiritual healing, not necessarily physical healing. We aren't guaranteed physical healing. We'll all die of something, unless Jesus returns first.
We can be healed of our terminal sin sickness however. The prognosis is death, but we can be delivered from the fate we all face. We just need to trust in Jesus.
Because Jesus died on the cross, He bore our sins away for us. We just need to trust in Him. We're to die to sin and live for what is right.
We're to make a daily choice to die to sin and to live for what is right. It's not even daily. It's a constant awareness that we should do what's right and kill sin in our lives.
