Chapter 26: A Love Letter

Is there something wrong?

Song Yimo flipped through her mind and was certain that she did not know this person at all.

"Class is starting soon."

Chen Fangfei, who was always quick-witted, was at a loss for words for the first time. She didn't know how to continue the conversation. She awkwardly adjusted her long hair and softened her tone, "I came to ask you, did Yu Xi really write you a love letter?"

Seeing through her nervousness in one glance, Song Yimo immediately understood her girlish infatuation and bluntly replied, "I don't even know who Yu Xi is, and I have never received a love letter."

"How is that possible? I heard the senior sisters in the third year say that he wrote you a love letter."

"Believe it or not, I haven't received anything." Spotting the teacher approaching, Song Yimo decided to stop the conversation, "Senior sister, I don't date in high school, it's none of anyone's business. I'm going back to the classroom."

Chen Fangfei started to believe Song Yimo's words, but the people who told her about this had good relationships with her. Could they be deceiving her, deliberately trying to embarrass her?

The more she thought about it, the more she believed it was a possibility. Chen Fangfei stomped off to find someone.

Chen Biling stopped in her tracks and turned around.

Wasn't this Chen Fangfei, the sophomore whose appearance and grades were inversely proportional?

How did Song Yimo get involved with her?

As the bell rang for class, Song Yimo put away her English book and took out her Chinese book. She quickly flipped to the page they were supposed to study that day, finding a light green letter placed there.

Thinking about Chen Fangfei's accusatory tone earlier, Song Yimo felt her scalp tingle. Could this be the love letter she was accused of receiving?

Placed so inconspicuously in this location, it was clear that someone in the class was playing matchmaker.

What a hassle.

She didn't have the energy for this right now. Besides, high school boys were too young for her. She had no interest in cradle-snatching relationships.

"Class is starting."

"Please stand up."

While everyone was standing up for the teacher's inspection, Song Yimo quickly stuffed the letter back into her desk without anyone noticing her small action.

After enduring a class, Song Yimo whispered to her deskmate Chen Qiao, "Did anyone come to my desk today?"

Chen Qiao's eyes sparkled with curiosity, "Did someone give you a love letter?"

"!!!"

"No need to say anything, your reaction says it all." Chen Qiao leaned closer excitedly, "Let me see it, I've never received a love letter myself!"

"Answer my question."

Chen Qiao thought for a moment, "The class monitor came by and chatted with Chen Ying at your seat."

Chen Ying, who was in front, heard her name and came over, asking eagerly, "What did she say about me? Come on, tell me the truth."

"She said you looked chubby." Song Yimo pushed away her round face and brushed off the crumbs on her hand, "Are you still eating? Do you want to turn into a watermelon?"
