🎃Happy Halloween!🎃

Everly's POV
Dad picks me and Carrie up from school and we get into the car.

"Hey dad." I say.

"Sup Mike." Carrie says.

"How was school?" Dad asks.

"Someone threw mashed potatoes at a teacher." Carrie says.

"Oh, and I got 25 out of 25 on my geography quiz." I tell him.

"That's awesome! We studied hard for that." Dad says.

"I know. Can we get a treat?" I ask.

"Carrie, did you hand in your chemistry project?" Dad asks.

"I did! It's not graded yet but my teacher thinks I'll get a B for it." Carrie says.

"Then let's go get a treat." Dad smiles.

"Can we get donuts?" Carrie asks.

"And I wanna go skincare shopping!" I say.

"Maybe Ari will take you two shopping tomorrow when the boys go to their clubs." Dad says.

"That's perfect." I nod.

"We can go grab donuts now." Dad says.

"Can we get more Halloween decorations as well?" I ask.

"Yeah, Liz and Ari didn't go all out like they normally do this year." Carrie says.

"We can run into Target and get what decorations they have left." Dad laughs.

We get donuts and we buy as many Halloween decorations as they have left in the store. We get home and everyone is in the house.

"Where have you been?" Mom asks.

"And why is there a life size witch in that bag?" Ari asks.

"You two didn't decorate much for Halloween this year." I say.

"Yeah, so we're making up for it!" Carrie grins, throwing a fake spider at mom.

"Clearly." Ari laughs, looking at the six bags of decorations.

"Did you leave anything left in Target?" Mom rolls her eyes.

"Not really." I grin.

"Where's the rest of our children?" Dad asks mom.

"Maisy is napping with Lottie and the twins are trying on their costumes for trick or treating tomorrow." Mom tells him.

"And Matt is downstairs with Taylor and Rose, probably making a mess of the games room." Ari says.

"Are you two still inviting Kaden and Aby over tomorrow?" Mom asks.

"Yep." I nod.

"They might be bringing a few friends though." Carrie says slowly.

"No." Mom says.

"What?" Carrie asks.

"No way, sorry. We're pretty cool parents but I don't want random teenagers I don't know in the house on Halloween night." Mom explains.

"Sorry girls." Ari says.

"But Liz-" Carrie starts.

"But, nothing. I think it is perfectly reasonable to set that boundary considering we are letting you drink and have your partners over for the night." Mom says firmly.

"We are treating you maturely so we expect mature behaviour. Do we understand?" Dad asks.

"Yes." We both agree.
