Everly's POV
I'm sat with Carrie doing my biology homework.
"Water moves into the cell from the roots to the xylem and diffuses by osmosis from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration." I read aloud.
"Excuse me, what?" Mom asks.
"I know right." Carrie says, sipping my drink.
"When do you learn those words?" Mom asks.
"For biology. It's about plant cells. Didn't you learn about it?" I ask.
"I won't even lie to you there." Mom smiles.
"What were you doing at our age?" I ask.
"Avan Jogia." Carrie smirks.
"Carrie, you can shut up." Mom says. "And you, Everly, can get on with that science what-ever-it's-called cells."
"How am I even supposed to concentrate when the most adorable little human is right over there?" I sigh, pointing to Maisy who Mom is feeding.
"To be honest I'm not sure how I'm supposed to concentrate when Carrie is staring at my boobs." Mom jokes.
"You're breastfeeding her. And anyway I'm just...curious." Carrie shrugs.
"Go on, ask whatever weird question you have for me." Mom says.
"How much milk is actually in your body?" Carrie asks.
"Oh, that's actually kind of a smart question." I say surprised.
"I don't know exactly but it's something like 40-135 ML in each breast." Mom says.
"Wow. Imagine how many oreo milkshakes you could make with all that." Carrie says.
"And you made it creepy." I say.
"It was only a matter of time." Mom laughs.
"We're home!" Teagal bursts into the kitchen with Jake.
"How did you beat us home?" Jake asks me and Carrie.
"We get to leave early." I smile.
"Yeah, for 'revision purposes'." Carrie smirks.
"Did you two have a good day?" Mom asks the boys.
"I got 7 out of 10 on my vocabulary test." Teagal grins.
"Good job! I know how hard you practiced those." Mom high fives him.
"I'm gonna go play trampoline ball." Jake says, dumping his school bag on the kitchen table.
"Trampoline ball?" Mom frowns.
"Everly and me invented it." Carrie says.
"It sounds dangerous." Mom says.
"It is." I nod.
Dad walks in.
"Hey everyone." Dad smiles.
"Hi Dad." I say as he kisses my head.
"Sup." Carrie says.
"How's my baby girl?" Dad asks, stroking Maisy's dark blonde hair.
"Quiet, actually. It's almost worrying." Mom laughs.
"I'm sure she's all good." Dad kisses her head.
"So far both of our daughters have gotten kisses and I haven't." Mom raises her eyebrows.
"Bossy." Carrie murmurs.
"What?" Mom asks.
"I said, bos-" Carrie starts to repeat.
