Everly's POV
We've all moved into the new house and we're getting settled properly after our second night in the new place. I go downstairs to the kitchen and mom is washing up.

"Hey Ev, can you dry these dishes for me?" Mom asks.

"Sure." I grab a towel and stand next to her.

"Have you unpacked all of your things into your new bedroom?" Mom asks.

"Yep! Carrie is finishing hers now. I was helping the boys with their room until they got bored and started trashing everything." I say and mom laughs.

"Thanks for trying." She says. "Have you got any plans for this week?"

"I'm seeing Aby tomorrow. We're having dinner at the Italian place." I tell her.

"That's lit." Mom says.

"Did you just say that's lit?" I burst out laughing.

"Yeah. It's lit." Mom repeats.

"You're not cool enough for that, mom, sorry." I grin.

"Hey, I'm down with the kids. I know what's up with Gen X." Mom says.

"I'm Gen Z. You're not even Gen X." I explain.

"Okay this conversation is giving me the ick." Mom says confidently.

"That's so embarrassing." I roll my eyes.

"How many aura points did I lose for that?" Mom asks, nudging my side.

"Mom!" I cringe.

"Am I not being very demure? Or very mindful?" Mom asks.

"Stop it right now." I nudge her back.

"Okay, okay. I'm done embarrassing you, for now." Mom teases.

"Whatever." I smile.

"Lizzy, your favourite child has arrived!" Carrie sings as she runs into the kitchen with Flyer.

"Hey Car." Mom smiles.

Ariana walks in with Lottie.

"Hey guys." Ari says.

"Sup." Carrie nods.

"Kitchen looks great. Are all of the new plates and bowls put away?" Ari asks.

"We're washing them right now." Mom says.

"Thanks for doing that. Matt was helping me sort out the downstairs bathroom." Ari says.

"Perfect. Michael's in the garden with the outside furniture but I don't think he's having much luck." Mom laughs.

Taylor runs in crying.

"What's the matter, angel?" Ari coos.

"Here, I'll take Lottie." Carrie says and takes Lottie from Ari.

"Thanks." Ari smiles and picks Taylor up.

"Jakey throwed a brick at me." Taylor sniffles.

"Was it on purpose, Taylor?" Mom asks.

Taylor shrugs and hugs Ari.

"Mommy it wasn't me! I didn't do it." Teagal runs into the room.

"I know it wasn't you, T. It's okay." Mom kisses his head.

Jake runs down the stairs.

"Mommy it was on a accident. It was!" Jake yells.

"Shh, shh. I believe you, baby. Can you say sorry to Taylor?" Mom says.
