"Huh?" Tessie was baffled when the sensors started blaring sending a signal to her terminal.

A bright red spot popped up on screen and kept blinking. "Dr. Tesla... That's." She went close to the doctor while Shiro just stares confused at them.

"It's faint... But there's no mistake. It's definitely a herrscher." After confirming, the two were shocked hearing that.

"And that's its just right next to me?!" Upon verifying by tracing the signal, she had a confused look. "It's Mei?!"

"Eh?" Even the girl was surprised to hear that. While Shiro confirmed his suspicion.

"I nearly forgot, the gem of conquest may be gone, but you still have traces of herrscher energy." Tesla said refreshing her thoughts."

"Yes. Dr. Einstein also included that in her assessment report... She said that i wasn't the only one, though the sovereign is another case, there are details that can't be explained."

"And i also can't control those traces." Mei said staring at both her hands.

"I'd advise against that." Tesla shook her head. "You'll only hurt yourself if you try to tap into an unstable source of energy." The red haired girl started to change some options and excluded Mei from the detection.

Shiro glanced back towards the 4th floor of a building, he felt a gaze piercing towards his soul. The male remained still waiting for it's next move.

"Drats, we should move to another location then..." Tesla said as the two acknowledged their next route.

Appraising the surroundings, the scientist frowned as the water level that is currently flooding the city ain't much of a help, as this would be a problem for the terrain.

Slowly they moved to another platform while trying to stay low,  as they recently found out there are still Honkai Beasts, lurking around. To which they used the element of surprise and decided to get rid of them for safety.

Mei paused when she saw a damaged building not far from them, to which the other two also halted their walk and saw Mei whom suddenly has a sad expression painted at her face.

"Mei-san. Is something the matter?" Shiro asked as the girl pointed to the building. "I... I remember this place."

"That big hole... I'm partially to blame for that."

Shiro gazes at the girl as she tell tales of her life of meeting Squad V. "3 Years ago, i escaped Nagazora together with Kiana-chan and Bronya-chan, and we met Himeko-sensei there standing against us."

The male bit his lip when the older murata was mentioned, nevertheless he kept up with his poker face and continues to liste. "We thought she was an enemy... So we fought."

Tesla took out a pair of binoculars and assessed the damage of the previous stand off. "Yeesh, looks like you gave her a ton of touble back then."

"Yes, my herrscher powers went rampant during the fight and Himeko-sensei almost failed to stop us."

"Just like mine huh?" Shiro said in his thoughts recalling the day he almost started to rampage after overexerting his limits. "If Mei-san wouldn't have been there... Then."

"Hyperion required heavy repairs afterwards, the prototype that they were handling aboard was also damaged and is beyond repair... The major was  almost punished by HQ, but Theresa-san took the blame for that."

It was a very horrible scenario of which triggered her Herrscher side. "I feared losing control during our escape... And when i did lose it. I thought it was all over."
