(S2) Thunders over Nagazora Pt. 1

Back in the medical bay... Mei had just finished of telling Kiana of everything that happened regarding those 4 months.

"That's a lot to take in... Everyone must have changed now."

Kiana smiled and wonder what's up with the rest of the crew of hyperion doing. "Heh, I wonder what happened to Bronya shortypants, she hasn't grown even a inch as of today right?"

Mei giggles and responds. "She's still the Bronya we know. The Hyperion is on it's way. You'll meet everyone soon enough."

"Oh dear... Now it started to make me nervous." Kiana said and made a urgent request to her friend.

"Mei-senpai, how about we go outside and take a walk, waiting around is just going to be boring." The white haired girl suggested.

"Head outside?" Mei was reluctant since she wanted Kiana to take it easy for now, and just as Tesla said... Kiana is still not stable enough for sudden movements. "But you need rest..."

"Mei-senpai... You should know that moving around makes me feel better, lying on bed is just going to turn me into a potato." She joked, as that what she would literally do back when they are still in St. Freya.

Thus there's another reason for her too.

"Plus, going back to Nagazora wasn't easy, I wanted to see it one last time with my own eyes, the place where it all started before we leave."

"Alright... But I'll be going with you." Convinced by the girl's reason, Kiana cheered.

"Yay! I can't even remember when was the last time we spent together!"

Mei laughs from her expression. "This isn't a field study Kiana-chan."

Now relaxed, she left her fear behind and went with the girl outside to go get some fresh air.

Kiana then stretched her arms around, and let out a satisfied exhale from the light exercise.

"Phew! The air is so much better here than i thought."

"Kiana-chan, don't forget to put on your jacket."

The samurai gently hands her the jacket, with, now clean and suitable to wear.

"Thanks Mei-senpai."

"Don't lose it next time." After Kiana worn her the extra layer, Mei smiles and enjoying their bond. "It really suits you."

"Really, then I'll keep wearing it." Kiana said.

"I was wondering why it was so noisy..."

Out of nowhere Shiro appeared who just got back from scouting the perimeter.

"Oh hey Shiro, care to join us?" Kiana invited as Mei remained silent waiting for his answer.

"Sure, if you girls don't mind.",

"Yay! Field trip." Kiana said excited, as Shiro chuckled from her expression. "Lead the way miss tour guide."

Shiro said playfully to Mei, who just laughed awkwardly.

Eventually, the trio walk around to try and take some mind off. Shiro watch their behind as Kiana is in no condition of straining herself.

And since the cost is clear, the trio paused for a bit for a breather...

The three sit down as Kiana started the conversation.

"It's always the same... The streets and buildings are now under water."

Then she changed the subject after feeling the nostalgia. "Mei-senpai, do you remember the time when we were traveling through this city?"

Shiro also curiously second the emotion. "Oh right, you, Mei and Bronya met here, from the files I've read, you three are survivors after the appearance of the third herrscher, care to enlighten me with some stories?"
