Mei and Raven are on their way to the coral island on their way for a important mission.

During the briefing the herrscher was introduced to the Scepters of Duat.

An unknown artifact that was created during the previous era... According to Raven it's function was to disrupt honkai energy.

"This is a snatch and grabbed operation, we will be joining hands with Schicksal for reinforcements and meet up with our contact for more intel about the Herrscher of Thunder.

The VTOL'S doors slowly open as the pilot lowered their altitude ready to land at their location.

"I'll be returning to base to refuel. Just radio me if you two are about to exfil."

The pilot advised as once the city is confirmed by their naked eye. Raven jumped off and followed by the Herrscher of thunder.

As soon as they land. Mei maintained her stoic expression even though the core leading duos of the Immortal Blades are deployed and just recently finished clearing the small fries of the Honkai beast.

"Raiden Mei?" Durandal was surprised, according to the overseer, one of the newest members of the World Serpent will be joining forces with them, she didn't expect to be the defector Raiden Mei, currently in her herrscher form.

"It's been a while, are you doing well Raiden Mei?" Rita politely grits as she lifts the helm of her skirt with a low bow, fulfilling her role as a maid. "Yes. I have my reasons in doing so." Mei gave only a nod and a short reply.

"What's the situation?" Raven inquired with her arms crossed... "Raven..." Although Rita is very calm right now, but her poker face says otherwise.

"Looks like bygones aren't meant to be bygones." Mei noticed the cold tension in the air.

"Oh, it's been a while Rita Rossweisse." The mercenary shrugs her shoulders. "Don't be discouraged as even if we are the only reinforcements, rest assured that we will get the job done."

"Oh my, is that what is looks, my sincere apologies that was very rude of me."

Rita smiled, although her face is very cold. "I wonder what you'll be using against the Herrscher. Gas, trucks?... Or suicide bomb bots?"

"Well, I didn't expect to single-handedly ruined your mission last time... I'm still VERY sorry about that."

Raven apologized but even the maid could get a hint of that sarcasm. "Oh dear, please don't... I should be the one who's sorry destroying that grand project back at Heliopolis."

"You're welcome. Do take care of our supplies and make sure the tea is ready while we handle the herrscher. In fact how about you just sit this one out and let the professional handle this?" Raven smirked, a very obvious taunt.

Rita retaliated with a solid burn. "How nice of you to offer yourselves like a knight in shining armour. In return, I shall make sure you're give a proper funeral if you get yourself killed."

"Your very much kind Miss Rita, you should be careful as the frontlines are not recommended for a maid to be with... I reckon that you should REALLY stack back as it far to dangerous."

"Indeed. You should watch your backs as well."

The two ladies continued their squabble, while unknown to Mei and Durandal, the two are just holding themselves back. Rita's hands are behind her back hidden ready to throw a knife to the assassin.

While Raven activated her claws ready to lunge at the maid anytime.

Their eyebrows twitched as the two can't stand each other's presence. "Rita..." Durandal break the ice with her gentle voice and remind her that they are here to complete a mission.
