The rain continued to pour down as the herrscher remained silent with her friend stunned to see her gain power over the thunder.
"Mei-senpai... You became... A Herrscher?"
Kiana in disbelief to see her in a pseudo herrscher form where her horns are hidden and remained to what a normal human does.
Mei doesn't respond, as Kevin spoke up turning around. "Looks like you've made your choice."
"I will go with you, a deal is a deal." Mei answered.
"Good... Very good." Kevin responded, neutral but delighted.
"Welcome to the World Serpent. Raiden Mei."
Ignoring Kevin's presence. Kiana's attention is pointed to Mei. "Wait! Mei-senpai are you going to join the serpents?!"
Mei again didn't replied as this causing Kiana to lose her patience. "Why! What did he do to you?"
"Kiana-chan." She raised her head and sighs. "You don't have to worry about me anymore. I've made this choice."
"Why?!"
The girl's voice echoed around the rooftop still not believe that this is happening. "Is this some kind of sick joke?!"
"I will never agree to this."
Kevin's hands darted to his pocket. As he felt a vibration. "It seems that you have some unfinished business."
He took his comms and found out he has tons of messages and missed calls.
"Tell her what you have decided, but make it quick. I have some important matter to attend to."
As Kevin finished his message, he disappeared in the blink of an eye.
"Tell her, what i want." She mouthed the last sentence of what the serpent said.
She whispered to herself and inside her thoughts. "Will she understand? Will she let me leave in peace?"
She clenched her fist and found the answer. "No... She'll only blame herself more and It'll only continue by me being a burden to her."
"That's why..."
Mei put on her poker face and coldly replied.
"Thank you Kiana-chan for letting me meet you, for experiencing a second chance."
"But now, allow me to return to the darkness, in exchange that you live in a bliss."

The air in Nagazora crackled, not just with the residual Honkai energy that twisted the ruined cityscape, but with a raw, agonizing tension between two former companions. Buildings stood as skeletal remains against a bruised sky, rubble-strewn streets silent witnesses to the tragedy unfolding. Kiana Kaslana, her usual bright energy dimmed by desperation and confusion, faced Raiden Mei. But this wasn't the gentle, kind Mei she knew. This Mei was wreathed in violet lightning, her eyes glowing with an unsettling power, a sharp, alien sword humming in her hand – the Herrscher of Thunder.
"Mei-senpai... why?" Kiana's voice was hoarse, a plea lost in the rising storm around them. She gripped her pistols, the familiar weight a small comfort against the overwhelming aura Mei now possessed. This power, the same power that had once surged within Mei during the initial Nagazora outbreak years ago, was now fully embraced, colder and more absolute.
