When they broke through the fleeing crowd and reached the plaza, the warm, festive atmosphere had crumbled into a absolute nightmare.

The heavy Anti-Entropy mechas were no longer performing their routine safety checks or carrying harmless crates of pyrotechnics. Their glowing blue optical sensors had turned a jagged, violent red. Iron treads tore up the cobblestone streets as heavy, armored frames stomped through crushed festival stalls. Hydraulic limbs smashed through storefront windows, sending shattered glass and burning debris raining down on the panicked crowd. One by one, their primary targeting systems locked onto the terrified civilians trying to escape the square.

"What... what is happening?!" Seele gasped, stepping back in shock. Her hands trembled as the air filled with the deafening sound of alarms and crumbling concrete. The sheer, senseless destruction made her chest tighten. "Everything was fine just a few minutes ago...!"

"No time for questions now!" Kiana's voice cut through the panic like a blade.

With practiced, fluid precision, she drew her dual handguns from the holsters at her hips. A sudden surge of dense, dark Honkai energy exploded around her frame like cracking violet thunder. The air warped behind her back, her glowing blue eyes flickering with golden spatial light as she seamlessly shifted into her combat-ready Void Drifter form. The heavy burden she carried disappeared behind the sharp, unflinching gaze of a warrior.

"We have to stop those mechas right now and get these people to safety!" Kiana shouted, spatial energy coiling around her boots as time ran out. "I'll draw their main fire—Seele, watch the flank!"

"Got it!" Seele's hesitation vanished, replaced by pure determination.

She reached out into the air, dark quantum light gathering instantly in her grip as her oversized, lethal scythe materialized. The sharp edge of the blade caught the flickering flames rising from the burning plaza.

With synchronized speed, the two girls leaped off the pavement and charged straight into the chaotic heart of the battle, ready to tear through the rogue machines.

The rogue Anti-Entropy mechas roared as their heavy, iron treads ground against the cobblestones, instantly locking their violent red optical sensors onto the two Valkyries.

"Targeting system override... exterminate threat!" a harsh, synthetic voice synthesized from the lead Titan unit as its heavy gatling arm spun up with a deafening whine.

"Not on my watch!" Kiana shouted, instantly stepping into a spatial rift.

In a flash of golden, distorted air, she vanished from her spot just as a hail of heavy caliber rounds chewed through the concrete where she had been standing milliseconds before. She reappeared directly above the lead Titan's shoulders, her Void Drifter pistols glowing with condensed spatial energy.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

With pinpoint precision, Kiana drove powerful, void-infused shots directly into the machine's primary power core, disabling its central processing unit before forcefully kicking off its hull to launch herself toward the secondary targets. "Seele! On your left!"

"On it!" Seele called out.

Two smaller, agile mechas rushed Seele with razor-sharp physical blades raised high. Staying calm, Seele channeled her momentum from her recent conditioning. She ducked low under the first swing, the wind of the blade whistling over her head. Using the weight of her oversized scythe, she spun on her heel, sweeping the heavy blade in a shimmering arc of dark quantum energy.

CLANG—CRASH!

The sharp blade cleaved cleanly through the joint hydraulics of both machines, causing them to collapse into a heap of sparking metal. Without missing a beat, Seele leaped over their wrecks, her weapon becoming a blurred arc of destruction as she systematically dismantled the remaining firing platforms, making sure to redirect their stray fire completely away from the fleeing civilians.
