As they moved forward, there's not even a conversation forming from the two... Mei knew her objective and that is to rescue her beloved friend, and it all will be done with the assistance of the assassin that tried to kill them.

"I know we're not friends, and only in just a temporary truce, but your way of keeping things in peace is pissing me off, say something will you."

Well there is a saying that... The enemy of my enemy is my friend. But Mei knew that it's both gonna cut ways.

Raven sighs, and just voluntarily broke the ice. "Fine... I'll have you know that i will start tracking the herrscher of void."

She took out some knives and saw suitable targets, which the valkyrie followed her eyes, and noticed a bunch of Chariot-class beasts roaming around. Mei firstly doubted, however from Raven's tone she is sincere and would not lie one bit of it. "What's so special about them?"

A smirk formed from the assassin and simply replied. "You'll see." As she said that, she threw the knives forward which caught the beasts attention.

Seeing their reaction. Mei pulls out her sword, however as the wind flew by.

A loud roar erupted from the beast's... Raven had already taken care of it, which her sharp talon's piercing the beast's flesh. Crimson hue color started to take over it's body, her talon's sinking deeper.

She leans forward as the beast's still grunted then whispered to it's ear.

"The pain will be gone, child."

( Yu: I think i just got an er*ction from that... Anyways. )

It's struggling stopped, as the lifeless carcass collapsed down to the ground... Curious, Mei withdraw her hand from the blade and asked. "What did you just do?"

"An intimate EXCHANGE, you might say." Pulling off her talons, she rejoined near the valkyrie. "They may be common beasts and aren't sentient but will still respond to Honkai signals, like some form of pheromones."

"Or in other terms, i branded them. This method allows me to control the beast alongside the lower ranks which they control."

"Wait is that how you managed to keep the kids safe?" Mei caught on and it would seem that would be the most idea of how the safe zone was implemented.

"That's right." She raised her arm to the beast, and it slowly rose obeying the master's command. "This exchange lets me send messages, and vice versa... I can also link myself to their sense, enter their consciousness, and experience things that no human has ever done before."

Impressed of how Raven managed to use her power, not only is to control them, but also formed a communication. An equivalent to the power of a herrscher.

Mei thought and that Raven may be also a perfect candidate as a vessel for the herrscher. She has the knowledge and control of her power. But also a potential danger too. "It also enhances my senses and lets me detect any environmental changes... like the heat wafting in the air, the warm currents flowing across the ocean."'

Raven points her finger to the north and replied. "And the sweet scent of a Herrscher far away from this place."
