It's Friday.
That's weird, right? The way I just mentioned the day out of nowhere, I just wanted to tell you the time span from when I got proposed to till now.
It's been a day and there's nothing compared to this one day. First, I had my ear drum blasted by the girl's screaming, I got raided by a pack reporters on my way back from work.
I keep getting multiple congratulatory cards from more relatives who had heard the news. I've been on the front page cover and multiple blog sites.
It's been a blast and you know the best part, I haven't seen the asshole I was getting married to since then.
Now I could confirm this was one big mistake but that aside, I was in a safe space now.
It was The Fortune's anniversary, the theme was white and everything was in place and perfect.
I moved around and ticked things out of the clipboard, this was the only peaceful time I've had since Wednesday.
"Miss Vega" someone called and I looked up to see Layla. "Guest are arriving" she informed and I nodded. I ticked the last thing off my clipboard and sighed.
Everything was in place, I stared at the work we've put together, it looked more like a wedding than an anniversary, that was Mrs Fortune's choice... With lots of Bethany coercion.
I paused for a second when I realized I was soon gonna get married, I glanced down at the ring on my finger, I still haven't gotten used to it.
A month ago, I'd have never seen this day coming.
I shook all those thoughts out and focused on the event, I needed to get my mind here. I got out of the resort and I got informed that Mrs Fortune was ready to move and Bethany was taking care of the guests.
I walked into the room where she was getting ready. She turned back to me . "Miss Vega!" She called in excitement.
"Or should I say Mrs Ferrari..." Here we go again.
I had to fake a smile and embrace her. "Mrs Fortune, you are looking... amazing" I complimented and she spun around in her white dress.
"All thanks to you and the girls"
I chuckled. "Everything is in place, guest are arriving" I informed. "I have to say congratulations on your engagement" she said, checking out the ring.
"Oh thank you "
"I guess it's too late for my son now" she teased and I chuckled. It has always been too late for him.
"Well, today is your day. It should be all about you" I said and she nodded.
"Enjoy everything, you deserve it" we exchanged few more words before I left. I had to go change up. I walked into the room and there was Kourtney. "Hey Mrs Ferrari "
I sighed and shut the door. "I'm not up for your shits too, did the dress arrive?" I asked, already getting out of the dress I was wearing.
"Yes, it's right over there" she pointed and I grabbed it and began changing up. "Have Travis called?" She asked.
"Why would he?" I retorted absentmindedly but once she shot me those eyes I recalled my default answer. "He's kinda busy"
"Too busy for his fiancée? You guys are the weirdest couple ever and I'm sure you haven't called him either" she pointed out.
"I mean..."
"Seriously?!"
"I just wanna get over this event first, every other thing comes later"
