I looked up at the Baxter's couple, Veronica's arm linked with Lawrence's arm, he kept tapping his feet on the floor and glancing at his watch, impatiently.

"The wedding will be happening at Hercyns island"

Veronica shot me a look. "How did you manage to book that place? " She asked, surprise."Well, I talked to—"

"Mrs Ferrari, what are we doing here exactly? You seem to have everything sorted out, why do you need to call these meetings?" Mr Baxter requested, sitting up.

"Because I want to fill you both in on the preparations, with the urgency of everything—"

"I don't need to hear all your plans, this is your job!"

My hands tightened over the clipboard, I've had it with this man. "With all due respect Mr Baxter, I'm not the one getting married, it's you both!"

Their eyes shot to me. "I beg your pardon, Pearl—"

"I'm here killing myself trying to make this wedding work in a week, the least you could do is pretend to care. I don't care about the issue you both might be having—"

"Pearl!" Veronica cut me off and I shot her a look. "This is my job and I'm trying to do it, so stop making it hard!" I finished, holding a stare with him.

He couldn't believe I just snapped at him, I'm not his wife.

I let out a sigh and comported myself.

Moments later.

I pushed the door open and walked in, the girls turned back to me. "Hey, you're back" Kourtney said as I slumped on my seat.

"I wanna ask how the meeting went but I could tell by your looks" she added. "How does Veronica take his shit?" I asked.

"I think she kinda deserves it, she's a bitch herself" she replied and I hummed in agreement before glancing at Bethany. "Any location for the wedding yet?"

"Not yet, although I'm meeting his family this evening" she replied, coming to sit beside Kourtney. "Is your mother in-law still around?" Kourtney asked.

"Yes, she's even helping me plan the dinner tomorrow"

"Ooh, you both seem to be getting along" Bethany cooed. "She's actually such a good company"

"Hmm, that's sweet" Kourtney commented. "So, are you still not gonna talk about your date with Davis on Tuesday?"

"Yeah, how long are you gonna keep that a secret?!" I cried out. "I don't kiss and tell"

"Oh, shut up! What did you guys talk about?" Bethany demanded. "Anything and everything" she lets out a dreamy sigh.

"I don't know if you're sick or in love" she icked. "it's both" I confirmed her before turning back to my laptop.

I chuckled and took a taste of the pie. "Wow Rosa, this is too good!" I heaved. "It will be the desert tomorrow " she replied, taking a bite herself.

"You're really helping me out, Rosa. Thank you, what can I do to repay you?"

"Call your husband to come back home, it's almost 9" she answered and I glanced at the clock.

I pulled out my phone but then we heard the door get pulled open. I got up and walked into the living room. He was back, he ignored us once again and went up the stairs.

He has been acting like an asshole since his argument with his Mother. Can he get his shit together?

"He must have had a rough day" she said

"Not today" I interjected this time before following him up. I got in and slam the door shut. "What is your problem? Why are you making this hard?" I shot to him immediately..

He ignored me and took off his watch. "Why don't you wait till the end of the week before you could be an asshole?"

"I'm not in the mood, Pearl " he replied coldly, his eyes darker than usual. It was rare to see him in this kind of rage but I knew I wasn't the cause of it.

I watched him as he took off the blazer and headed straight into the closet. Was this about the whole Trent issue?

I don't even understand what was going on.

I walked back out and there was Rosa coming up the stairs. I stopped as she walked to me. "Don't bother yourself, okay?" She tapped my cheek lightly.

I pushed out a little smile before she headed down the hall to her room, I sighed and glanced back at the door.

I'm definitely not gonna be lying on the same bed with him.
