I watched as it rained outside, I checked the time, it was past 8 am. The rain made me get too cozy in bed and I slept in.

"Should I make you tea, Pearl?" I glanced back at Evelyn. "That will be lovely " she nodded and walked back into the kitchen.

I sighed and went and sat back on the sofa, I watched as the rain drizzled through the glass wall. This was indeed a beautiful house.

Travis had great taste.

There I sat alone in the house, I guess the loneliness was getting to me. It gets really isolating sometimes, just being alone here.

I sighed again and leaned back. "Here" Evelyn came and handed it to me. "Thank you" I took a sip and placed it down.

I really needed this.

I was dressed and ready for work but the rain was so persistent, I wasn't in the mood to get wet, even the slightest.

My phone buzzed in my bag, I pulled it out and checked who was calling. It was unknown, I answered anyways.

"Hello?"

"Are you cold?"

I paused. "It's raining too much for Autumn, don't you think?"

A smile made way to my lips and I sat up. "Yeah, it is"

"I hope you are staying warm" Aiden inquired. "Yeah and you?" I asked. "I'm at the office "

"Lucky you, I can't even leave the house" I replied. "Should I come pick you up?" He asked and I laughed.

"So, I've thought about it" I began, changing the topic.

"What?"

"The Sienna ball"

"Have you accepted my invitation?" He asked. "I thought about it and I don't see why I shouldn't. After all, I'm an event planner, I'll love to stay updated "

He chuckled. "I'll take that. I'm glad you made up your mind"

I leaned back on the sofa, a smile on my lips. "Will you be free this evening?" I asked.

"Are you tryna ask me out on a date?"

I laughed. "I just wanted to go out for a drink, I'm wondering if you'll be busy" I replied. "I won't, should I come pick you up then?"

"That won't be necessary. By 6 then, at Tripple "

"Okay" we talked for few more minutes before i ended the call, dropping my phone beside and I let out a sigh.

I know you're wondering why I just asked him out for a drink despite knowing what happened the last time we did that, we almost kiss.

But will I be a bitch if I say I wouldn't mind this time?

We almost kissed the last time but I didn't allow it because I felt bad but right now, I wasn't feeling shits. I liked Aiden, he made me feel alive and at peace some times.

And trust me, I'm looking for anything to make me feel different.

I'm frustrated in many ways and the only way to feel better was to try something so wrong. I'm obsessed with the thrill.

And Aiden...was the thrill.

My smile widened and I got up and grabbed my bag.

"Pearl"

"Pearl Pearl!" My eyes shot open and I was staring at a mug. "Pearl!"

I slowly got up from my table to see Kourtney standing there. "Is the boss sleeping on duty?"
