I immediately shot up the couch, my eyes wide open. I looked out the window to see it bright outside. I looked around me, my phone was beside, I checked the time and it was past 7 am.

I gotta go. I got up only in the black suit pant and matching cropped top, I grabbed the blazer jacket and my bag. I walked to the room and peeped in. She was fast asleep on the bed.

That's my cue.

I left and shut the door, in the elevator I had a pounding headache.

But we drank a little last night. A little

The doors opened and I walked out, I pulled out my phone to call the house to send a car to come pick me up, but I paused when I saw my car still parked in front of the building.

I walked further towards it to see Jeffrey in the driver's seat, he was asleep. Oh my gosh! He didn't leave?

I knocked on the window and he looked up, I moved back as he got the car open. "Good morning, Mrs Ferrari" he greeted.

"Don't tell me you waited for me, I told you to go and pick me up this morning" I said. "Are you ready to leave?" He asked, ignoring my statement.

I crossed my hands over my chest and gazed at him. "Why did you wait?"

"It's my job" he answered and I huffed. "Your job is to obey me and I said, do not wait for me. Maybe you aren't doing your job well" I confessed and his expression changed a bit.

"I'm ready to go" I stated, getting the door open and climbing into the back seat.

He got in too, I didn't like treating him like some kinda...servant.

I was used to having shits done by myself. We drove out of there and headed home. I got out of the car with my jacket and bag once we arrived, my neck hurts from sleeping on Kourtney's couch.

And she called my apartment crappy.

I got into the house and there was Evelyn. "Welcome home, Mrs Ferrari" she greeted.

I really appreciate having them around, the house would have been really lonely without them.

They did keep the house warm.

"Morning Evelyn, when did he leave this morning?" I referred to Travis. "Mr Ferrari hasn't been home, "

I paused and turned to her. "What?"

"He hasn't arrived since he left yesterday" she added and I was still stomped for a second. And here I thought I was breaking a measure marriage rule.

He didn't even inform me, I guess it's none of my business.

"Okay, should I get breakfast started?" She asked. "Yeah"

I turned to walk to the door but stopped when the door got pulled open and Travis and his secretary stepped in.

He paused when he saw me, he's just in a black shirt with the tie loosened and his jacket in hand. "Good morning, Mr Ferrari" he diverted his eyes to Evelyn- who just greeted, and nodded.

"You are just arriving?" He asked. "Yeah" I answered before going up the stairs.

I gently opened the door and stepped inside. Travis looked up at me, as did his secretary. It was the perfect moment to play the dutiful wife-or at least appear so.

I brought him coffee, not out of heartfelt concern, but because I wanted to satisfy my curiosity. He had been holed up here with this guy, working on something that clearly had his full attention.
