"Pearl"
"Mmm"
"How many bags are you taking with you on this trip?" he asked and I glanced back at Williams as he loaded my bag into the car.
"Just enough"
"You're barely staying for 2 days"
"I know that but..." I turned to him fully. "Everything I'm taking is really important, there are gonna be dinners, right? Impromptu events, I need everything I'm taking"
He sucked in a breath and shook his head before heading to the car. "You won't get it! " I called out and Jeffrey got out with the last bags.
"I'll take that" I took the birkin bag from him. "thank you" with that I got into the car, glancing back at the house.
We were just gonna be spending the weekend in Italy, just like a little vacation.
The door shut close and I let out a sigh. The car was brought to life and we headed to the hanger. Today I wore a leopard print dress, my hair in a wavy asymmetric.
"Adrian will be joining us for the flight" he said. "And Hillary too"
"What was your mother talking about last night? Hillary rejected a proposal?" he asked. "Do me a favour, don't bring it up when you see her"
"Who was the guy?"
"A cousin of mine, Justin. It's really complicated, so don't talk about it" I reminded again and he chuckled.
Since this morning, we've been having light hearted conversations and it was really good, it's better than screaming at each other's face off.
But I know our rapport was always shortlived.
We arrived the hangar and I got out with my bag. There was Hillary also getting out of her ride. "Hey Ferrari!" She waved.
"Hey, you're right on time" I said as we headed to the jet.
"Hillary, I heard you turned down a proposal, you actually need many options to do that " Travis prompted and she gasped.
I smacked him instead, there was Adrian by the stairs leading up jet. "who's that?" She whispered to me.
"That's Adrian"
"Hey amico!" he and Travis had a handshake before he turned to us. "Bella donna" he referred to me and I smiled
"Hey Adrian " we embraced lightly. "This is Hillary, Hillary... Adrian " I introduce them both and she straight out her hand to him, he took it with a smile on his lips.
Travis was already heading up the stairs, he didn't have time for all this.
But I did, I had all the time in the world to matchmake.
"Nice to meet you"
"You too, have I seen you before?" She asked. "Perhaps at the wedding "
"Yes! You were the best man" she remembered. "And she was the stylists, she designed the wedding dress" I put it out there.
"Beautiful and talented" he commented and she chuckled. "It'll be nice having you on this ride, come on" he led her up the stairs and I followed behind.
The air hostess greeted us and showed us our seats. Travis was already settled down, he took up two seats. Since we had others on this ride, it's best we remain pretending to be couple.
"Excuse me" I took the window seat beside him, placing his laptop on his lap. "There are so many vacant seats, Pearl"
"But not much when we've got visitors" I replied and he glanced back at Hillary and Adrian who were already hitting it off.
Talk about fast shooters.
I sighed and faced back forward. "So, that means for the next couple of hours, you're stuck with me" I said and he couldn't do anything about it.

I straight out a glass to him and he glanced down at it. "We've got few more hours before we land, you might want to get through it"
He grabbed it from me and gulped it all down. Straightening it out to me and I filled it up for him before taking a sip of mine.
I glanced out the window, it was already night, long flights are the worst. "You'll be staying at the lake house"
I glanced back at him. "Why? I don't mind staying at the family house"
"You don't want that"
"I don't mind the company, infact I'll really need the company. And I might be of help for the event" I pointed out. "Don't bother yourself, it has all been taken care of"
"Trent handled it all?" I asked and he glanced down at me. Why did i bring him up?
There was silence again and I stared out. "You know as your wife, I should have a nickname" I brought up, turning back to him
"Why?"
"Because I'm tired of the little annoying nicknames you give me, you just say them out of the blue when we are out"
He smirked and took another gulp from the glass. "Something original, I'll like it in Italian too" I listed out.
"What's it gonna be?"
"I don't know, something that actually sounds like what we would call ourselves. Not Amore or Tesoro. Like what's Asshole in Italian?"
"You think I'm gonna let you call me that?" He asked. "I could check it out myself. What else could suit you?"
"How about Marito? It means husband?" He suggested and I shot him a look. "I'll never call you husband"
He smirked and took another gulp of the drink. "What will you call me then?" I asked, leaning in on him. "Cara, it's means dear"
"Urg! That's too bland! I'm your wife, you should be calling me your sunshine "
"You said something that sounds like what we would call ourselves" he reminded. "How about Stella? It means Star" I requested with a big smile on my lips as I waited for him to agree.
He shook his head, finishing the drink in his glass. He didn't fight it, so that meant he agreed to it.
"Call me Stella when you are your happiest" I chimed and he turned to me. "That way it will mean something and I'll try coming up with a nickname for you"
I fell back on my seat, I think I could catch a nap.
"When are we landing?" Hillary called, finally waking up from her sleep. "In 2 hours" he answered her.
