I scrolled past the stories and news about the Ferraris. The death of Mr Roman Ferrari.

Travis's father was the headline everywhere, people showing sympathy and grieving with the family.

And questions about what's gonna happen to the billion dollar company Alpha 3.

I can't believe that fucker actually made me believe that the fate of all this rested on my shoulders.

I haven't even considered anything he said since we last saw yesterday. Beside me was the invitation to my sister's wedding. I had more pressing issues.

Bella Weds Derrick.

One big effing mistake.

I honestly didn't know what to do, I didn't wanna attend but I'll be a bitch if I don't and It was in less than a week.

I and Derrick never gets along, we both share this mutual feeling where we can't stand each other. The last time we saw eye to eye, there was a nasty argument.

Words were thrown and I was called a bitch and Bella was forced to choose between us both, I think it's pretty obvious who she chose. But in her defense, I wouldn't buy her a diamond ring.

And the shittier part about it all, I wasn't ready to face my mom, I haven't seen her for a year, she'll expect me to show up with a plus one but I've been neck deep in my business which was crumbling that I couldn't give two shits.

Travis's word rang through my head and I hissed. The doorbell rang and I groaned, dragging myself from the sofa, I walked to the door before pulling it open, there was those two bitches.

"I told you she'll be home" Bethany muttered to Kourtney and I walked back to the sofa.

They both walked in with Kourtney holding a bag of groceries, if you haven't already gleaned, she's the Mom of the group, always tryna get our shits together.

"I'm making you a healthy meal, you really need to stop this, Pearl" she muttered, heading straight for the kitchen.

I picked back up my laptop. "So, are you gonna be attending?" Bethany questioned, taking the invitation from beside me.

"I don't know"

"Do you now have a thing against weddings? You told us to paste all those flyers around town in order to advertise Paradise and we did"

"I pay you guys" I reminded. "Riddle me that, you really need to take a break for a moment. Have fun, free up, Pearl"

I paused and looked up at her. "No thanks, if I chose that path, I'm sure you'll be unemployed and it is not really safe listening to the crazy one in the group" I replied.

"But she got a point" Kourtney supported, walking back in. "She got you too?"

Sighing, she sat on my left. "We've been thinking..." I groaned once I heard that and fell back on the sofa.

"You need a break" she declared, taking my laptop from me. "You worry too much, Pearl. You need to relax and breathe"

"The only way I'll be relaxed is when these numbers add up" I replied. "Treat yourself out"

"With what money?"

"Take a break, take a night out, I and Bethany could handle anything that comes up" she assured

"Of course, you both could handle anything" I replied, sarcastically. "When have we ever let you-"

"Shh" Kourtney cut Bethany off before turning to me. "We want the best for you, your health matters"

"Yeah, you haven't written your will yet, who takes over Paradise when you die?" Bethany inquired and I shot her a look.

"And you definitely can't miss the wedding " Kourtney added.

"Why?"

"Through the wedding we could spread more words about Paradise, it's like a convention promoting our field of business" she pointed out.

"You see why you haven't been promoted?" I turned Bethany. "As long as I'm getting paid" she shrugged in response and I let out a sigh. "Alright but you'll pick what I wear"

"With all pleasure" she agreed.
