The door was thrown open and I looked up. "I guess we're throwing the etiquette of knocking before entering out the window" I muttered as Kourtney walked in.

"What are you still doing here?"

"It's my office"

"It's past 6 pm, I know you have dinner with your family at 8" she said. "I still got time -"

"No, you don't. You have to go home and get ready. We could handle anything that comes up here" she insisted. "We? Bethany didn't show up today"

"Either ways, you could trust me to handle anything " she reminded. "I know, Kourtney. But I just gotta round up with this -" my laptop was shut close immediately.

She pulled me up, grabbed my bag and coat, pulled me out the office to the stairs.

And there I was, staring at my car in the parking lot. "Bye boss" she called out, walking back into the office.

I sighed and got into my car, I was planning on showing up late to the dinner, so I don't get to ride with Travis.

Moments later.

I dropped my bag and everything and headed to the bathroom, I had so many thoughts in the shower. He was gonna propose to me this evening, I wasn't ready for that.

I chose a silver silk dress, it was floor length with a slit and thin strap hands, with a cowl neck, delving deep. There was a knock at the door and I let out a frustrated sigh before going to pull it open.

There he stood all in a black suit. I  hissed and went back fixing my hair. "Didn't know you could step out of the car" I muttered as he walked in.

He sat on my sofa and stared at me. "Need help?" He asked as I struggled with my hair. "Infact yes, I need a ponytail" I admitted, straightening out the hair tie to him, he got up and stood behind me.

"If I could remember, you hated ponytails" he said, fisting my hair. "Yeah and you had a thing for blonde girls, things have changed "

"Yeah" he agreed, finally letting go. I grabbed the mirror and checked it out, he did good.

I turned back to him. "You did that surprising well"

"You are really lucky you're getting married to me" he said and I smacked. "That means, this isn't your first time doing this" I deadpanned and he grinned

I glared before going to grab my heels, "We'll be late"

"Like you wanted to be early " he replied out, going back to sit down. "No, we're the guest. They'll pardon us"

"They'll pardon me, you'll get an earful" he replied and I scoffed and grabbed my bag. "So, I hope you got a big ass ring for that proposal"

He grinned. "And no randomly kissing me when you so please and if you grab my waist again, you'll loose a thumb" I threatened.

"I don't know, I think you like it" he said. "You got a lot of nerve"

He smiled and got up. "Come on" he grabbed my hand and we both headed out. He pulled the door open and I glared but with a smile on my lips.

The ride was long and we arrived at 20 minutes past 8. As we drove into the surrounding, I stared out the window. "Cold feet?" He asked and I turned to him.

"No, we should go over the whole proposal thing to be on the same page first" I said, turning to him. "What's there to go over? I propose to you, you say yes" he shrugged in response.

"Yeah but first you gotta give a heads up. Just don't surprise me" I said and he stared, "What?"

"You're freaking out"
