"He is so sweet and he tells the funniest story and you're right, he's so kind. Can you believe he said he doesn't believe in superficial beauty standards. He admits that..." She leaned on my table and I glanced at her.
"...the real beauty is the inner one"
I only hummed in response and reached for a file on the other side. "He's too kind, so much better than Ken"
I sighed. "Has Mr Jenkins responded to the report Layla sent?" I asked.
"No"
I groaned. "We need to know if we could go ahead with the new layout, I'm on time crunch right now"
"Perhaps going out for lunch will help" Bethany suggested as she walked in. "Yes!" I agreed, immediately grabbing my bag and phone and getting up.
"Are you serious? I was just telling you what I think of Davis" Kourtney deadpanned as we headed out. "You coming or not?" Bethany calked and she sighed and followed.
Moments later.
I sighed and leaned back on my seat. "You're doing that thing again" Kourtney said, placing down her cocktail. "Doing what?"
"Squinching your face, what's troubling you?" Bethany asked. "Don't bother, she won't tell anyways-"
"Are men always so secretive?" I asked and their eyes shot to me. "Would it kill them to open up for one second?!" I exclaimed, taking another gulp of the margarita.
"Is she talking about Travis?" Bethany whispered to Kourtney. "Is everything alright at home?" She asked, leaning on the table.
I let out one final sigh. "Yes, it's all good"
"And here we thought you were opening up to us" Bethany muttered and I rolled my eyes.
"inquire what Jenkins thought about the report and all preparations for the Baxter's wedding should be rounded up tomorrow" they both nodded and I returned back to my drink.
I hate that asshole.

"Hey lovelies!" Hillary announced her presence once she walked in. "I showed you the ropes of LA and you dominated it" I sang, looking up at her.
A grin spread across her face . "I got you something" she placed the bag on the table. "What's this?"
"I made you a dress for tonight, I heard you are hosting the family dinner"
"Unfortunately but you shouldn't have done that" I replied, getting out the black box from the bag. "How else could I thank you for the many connections you've gotten me?" she asked, sitting opposite me.
I opened the box to see a black dress nicely folded. "Thank you, Hillary"
"No, thank you. Do you know how many contracts I've gotten since I got here? You were right, this is the perfect location for my business. As the Stellar Awards draws near, A-list stars will want the best outfits"
I smiled, "I could introduce you to a few"
"Oh my gosh!"
"Considering the fact I'm planning the event" I added and she gasped. "You're kidding!"
"No, there's a convention tomorrow which I'm attending and I here lots of celebrities are gonna be there" I said In a sing song voice and she squealed in excitement.
"Oh my gosh, I love your job!"
I shrugged in response. "I'm already working on having a branch here"
"I don't think that's my influence then, it must be Justin's " I replied and she fell back on the sit with a smile on her lips.
