I walked back to the mirror and inserted the other earring. I checked it out and was cool with the outcome. I flicked my hair, it was in a beach wave.

It's Wednesday, I was heading to work. I won't lie, I was a bit jetlagged this morning but I knew better than to stay in this house.

I may die of boredom.

I wore a light grey turtle neck long sleeve top with a black mini A cut skirt and a matching blazer. I put my laptop and other necessities In put my bag and gave myself a last look in the mirror and was satisfied.

I checked my schedule on my phone as I stepped out of the room, I walked down the halls and glanced down to see Travis.

I wasn't expecting to see him, he was in a black suit with white outlines, one hand in his pocket and the other with his phone over his ear.

He looked up at me as I got down the stairs, I noticed a man in a dark suit getting his suitcase ready, I saw him that one time I was at his office. It should be his secretary.

I headed straight to the kitchen, I was taken aback by the amount of dishes already prepared and set on the dining table.

"Good morning Mrs Ferrari" Evelyn greeted. "You could just call me, Pearl" I replied and she smiled.

"That's a lot for breakfast"

"I made a variety, I wasn't sure on what you'd want this morning" she said. "You should have just made coffee and I'll be cool" i replied and she beaned.

"I did make that" she replied. "Thank you" I walked to take a seat at the table. I wasn't really down for breakfast but it'll be rude to let all this food go to waste.

I had a little bit and had the coffee to go, Travis didn't join me for breakfast and truly I didn't mind. I was tired of seeing his face.

I stepped into the living room. "Are you ready to leave, ma'am?" I paused and turned to Jeffrey who just asked. He seemed to always be in a black suit. Talk about Travis's influence.

"Yes"

"This way" he led the way to the door and even pulled it open for me. I stood there speechless, glancing at Travis. "Let him take you" he encouraged .

"I can drive myself, I've always done that" I replied. "He'll take you, that is his job" he stated and i shook my head before walking out.

At least my car was here, he opened the door for me. "You didn't have to do that but thank you" I said, getting into the back seat.

He shut the door and took the driver's seat. I felt weird sitting at the back seat of my car. He brought the car to life and drove out.

Apparently my schedule had been cleared up for the week, the girls didn't think I'll be showing up anytime soon.

I mean, I should be on my honeymoon but if I spent any more time in that house doing nothing, I might actually die.

My family left Italy on Monday, so they too aren't expecting me to be back and really, I'm not gonna let them know. I'll get an earful and then get dragged into their unending after marriage family rituals.

Just as they did after Bella's wedding.

The drive to work wasn't the closest. I was starting to miss my apartment. The car stopped in front of Paradise and I wondered how he knew the location.

I grabbed my bag and reached to get the door open but he pulled it open for me. I paused for a second and looked up at him. "I said that wasn't necessary"

I stepped out, his face blank, just really cold, eyes distant. I sighed and hung my bag over my shoulder before heading to the building.

I reached out to pull the door open but he beat me to it once again, I sucked in a breath and stepped into the lobby. The girls all looked up.
