(Tamara's POV)
The next morning I went into the kitchen and saw Lucy on the sofa i sat next to her and snuggled into her arms "hey tam how's your hand?"she asked "it's okay a little sore i guess"I told her "can I take a look at it make sure it's okay?"lucy asked I nodded Lucy slowly peeled off the bandages leaving my hand raw again I winced as she peeled off the layers "sorry sweetheart"she said as she peeled off the last bandage "that doesn't look good tam let's get some cream on it okay"lucy told me "okay" I said as she took my uninjured hand and led me to the kitchen she applied cream to the burn and bandaged my hand then she gave me a hug and I hugged her back "thanks"I told her giving her a smile she just stroked my hair and carried me to the sofa I leant against her and watched the tv with her then she started to watch her phone I just watched it happily "you know I think we should get you phone tam"Lucy said as she turned to me
"really?"I asked excitedly "yea its good for us both as-well incase you ever need anything if you go out when your older then you can call and message us"Lucy said smiling at me as she saw my excitement
"you know I love you honey"Lucy told me "I love you too"I told her "also I need to go have a chat with Tim quick can you stay here?"she asked me "why do you need to chat are you guys sending me to foster care?"I asked sadly "no of course not sweetheart it's just a surprise you can't know yet okay"Lucy told me I nodded "alright just stay here okay"Lucy said "I will I promise"I told Lucy
(Lucy's POV)
i left Tamara in the living room and went in mine and Tim's bedroom to see him sat on our bed "Tim I want to ask you something I know it's only been a few days but maybe we should consider adopting tam because if her parents are considered safe then tam will be sent back to them"I told Tim "I know but maybe give it another week I'll pick up the paperwork next Friday okay"Tim told me "okay thanks Tim"I said smiling at Tim I went back out and sat next to Tamara her hair was all knotty and dry "tam can we wash your hair sweetheart?"I asked "why?"she asked "because it's all knotty and dry honey"I told her "okay but can I keep my clothes on?" She asked "of course sweetheart but in a few days when you need another shower we need to wash your body too okay"I told her "okay"she said I took her into her bathroom and washed her hair then I shampooed it and conditioned it then whilst the conditioner was in I brushed the knots out then I rinsed her hair before drying it with a towel and blow drying it "there we are tam can I braid it quick to keep it from knotting up again"I asked tam "okay you can"Tamara said I braided her hair and took her into the guest room "you know what tam I've just realised we've not got anything for you here,even your room is plain I think we should all go shopping and get you some stuff to decorate in here"I told her "really I get to have my own room?"she asked surprised "of course come on let's go get some stuff okay "yay!"tamara yelled as she ran into the living room her excitement barely containable "hey Tim I'm going to take tam to get some stuff you coming?"I asked Tim as I slipped my shoes on "yea of course let's go"Tim said as we all left the house and got in the car we drove to the store after countless hours of looking at paints,posters,
bedding,pillows,furniture,lamps,LED lights and then finally clothing and essentials we headed to the car carefully placing each item in the car we heads home
Me,Tim and Tamara all spent the rest of the afternoon decorating Tamara's room and making it how she wanted then building the furniture and letting her help us place the stuff all around the room then I neatly folded her clothes into the drawers and wardrobe before finally setting her lamp,colouring books and pens on the desk she just looked around happily at the room before running to me and Tim and hugging us tightly "thank you for letting me stay here"she said as she smiled more "of course kiddo"Tim said "always sweetheart"I said,she smiled again and got in her bed then she snuggled up to one of her teddy's we had bought "I'm going to go make tea"I told them as I left the room and began cooking mixing the sauce,boiling the rice,cutting the chicken and veg,then mixing it all together I dished it up then placed it on the table I shouted Tim and Tamara and they sat at the table me and Tim started to eat but tam just pushed the food with her spoon"tam you okay darling?"I asked her "I don't know what this is"she said as she looked back down at her food "tam it's chicken curry not spicy at all very tasty too you should try take a bite"I told her "are you sure?"she asked "of course tam it's really good"Lucy said encouraging Tamara to take a bite "I guess I could try it"Tamara said not sounding too sure about it she slowly took some of the curry on her spoon and moved it to her mouth before taking the bite she swallowed and her eyes lit up "mmm this is good!"she said happily eating more after a few minutes she cleared her plate off.
(Tamara's POV)
I took my plate to the kitchen placing it in the sink then going back over to the table and sitting down
after a few minutes Tim and Lucy finished eating too we all lay on the sofa watching a film then Tim left the room and returned a few minutes later with popcorn I enjoyed it a lot then Lucy tucked me into bed and I slowly drifted off to sleep but then I woke up scared it was a nightmare off the basement at my parents I hated that place so much it was there way of earning money I felt warm liquid beneath me and on my underwear I felt tears running down my face I was so embarrassed I got out of bed and went to Lucy and Tim's room they were both asleep I shook Lucy awake "tam what's wrong?"she asked as she sat up and rubbed her eyes "I'm really sorry I had a scary nightmare and i-i umm had an accident it's on the sheets I'm really sorry Lucy" I said as more tears poured down my cheeks "hey hey calm down sweetheart I'll come change the sheets okay and we can change your bottoms nothing to be embarrassed about it happens sometimes"Lucy told me she changed my sheets and my bottoms then I got back into bed and fell back asleep.
